4" Tangerine Dream showing pistols!?? (3wk old)

So my 3 week old Tangerine Dream is about 4". Working on the 3rd node. She's under 3- 23 watt 6400k cfls 18/6, in her own 5 gallon bucket, 65 degree res. 77 degrees in the room. 1/3 rec dose of Botanicare Grow & Karma. Ph is 5.7-6.1, ppm is about 300-350...


So...any clue why this little lady is showing pistols?

I know she's pretty small...I had 5 seeds and only 3 germed... 2 were mutants and this one seemed to be just growing slow. Although the mutant that I kept seems to be doing alright now...

Hmm.

id just be stoked that its female, dont realy know if theres a reason for it... besides that its pretty small for 3 weeks my new baby are 3 weeks from seed in soil and already working on their 8th nodes.
be really careful with that tangerine tho bro excpect a 300 percent height increase AT LEAST when you flower. check out my last grows journal and i did 3 tangerines.

What light schedule are you running and its normal for fem seeds to do this if its not a fem seed i have no idea man but my GHS WW showed pistils from about the same age just smaller but at every node all the way through veg. Crazy its throwing full blown pistils you could always just flower her put her on 12/12 and just go with it.

Mcgyver- I read your journal on tangerines before I bought the seeds along with a couple others. It was inspiring, I am a little disappointed mine are not performing nearly as well.
I really wanted to be able to take clones I guess ill just see what happens when the auto haze are done in 4 wks. Maybe it will fill out a little in the meantime.
Slim-I hear ya I'm def happy she's, well, a 'she'...they were indeed feminized seeds. Been on 18/6 light schedule since the beginning. Being my first few wks growing I just wanted to know if this was abnormal or not. I feel much better. Not sure what's making the leaves grow so dark and skinny and slow, but the mutant sprout is growing daily and is healthier so time will tell.

Do you ph your water and your hydro correct?

I have one that when it was almost 10 inches (just under) it was showing sex. Now about 3 weeks later she's almost tripled in size.

What exactly do you mean that two of your plants were "mutants"? lol I've had a plant or two show pistils at 3-4 week mark. Actually my Dinafem Blue Widow was like that, showed pistils around 25 days or so.

TD autoflower? LOLOL.... I have no idea

Anotherdaymusic- I have 3- autoflower haze that are growing well is what I meant... sorry for the confusion.

Mrdiff- I call them mutants because they both germed and sprouted their first leaves after the cotyledons. Then stopped growing. A week later they began growing 2 shoots. Now one shoot stopped growing and the other shoot is on its second node working on 3rd, but growing sideways. I attatched a pic of when it stopped growing and also after it started to grow again... to give you an idea of what I mean.

Slim- I refill the buckets back to 1" - 2" below netpot with water that has been ph'ed to correct the ph in the bucket.
So if the ph is like 6.4 in the bucket... then I add water ph'ed at like 5-5.5 to balance it back to 5.8. Is this the correct way to do it?

Lol yeah Auto Tangerine Dream would be bad ass...did I read somewhere that they were working on that? I think I did but may just be my delusional fantasies..either way as long as they stay green and healthy and growing...there are no complaints from me!

all my fem seeds have done that shown sex allways the 1s that havnt id b warey of cause there more likey to herm from my past experionce. i wouldnt worrie about the amount of leafes n stuff u got you havnt really got much light id get a t5 best thing i ever got lol but yeah its lookin good soo far keep it up Royal Highness
