since I figured my plants might be a little stunted, I added some super thrive to the water... I'm just using plain distilled water with a couple drops of super thrive in a 50/50 ffof and happy frog soil mix in the ground. since yesterday, each one of my plants have grown about an inch, if they grow like this the rest of the season, ill have a pound a plant and c cat and that other dude can go screw themselves

My plants have made a complete turn around after adding super thrive to my regular water, and since the deer can't get to them (obviously)... my plants have grown about 5 inches in 4 days, and growth is still getting faster.

this plant is about 3 feet tall, its a shame most of the undergrowth was eaten or else it would have been a fatty, but its making up for lost time

lsd#2 is the one that got munched the most by deer, but it has grown about 5 inches in 4 days, I just hope all my plants will bulk up more before flowering time... i got about 2 months before then so I should have some decent sized plants

I mix a bale of peat with 3 5lb bags of perlite, 3 cups dolomite lime, 2 cups bone meal, 5 lbs worm castings, and one cup epsom salts. I dig 2ft x 2ft x 2 ft holes and fill them in with the mixture. I water in well and wait two weeks to put the plants in. Make sure you mix well and evenly moisten the mixture. I also use 1/8 dose fish emulsion to foliar feed alternating with spring water. I water them with water from my koi pond. You could also use a good compost tea every other watering which will give the microbes a good start. There are several good soil mixes on this forum.

15 pounds of perlite? thats more than 33% of your soil that does nott seem right at all?I get an 8oz bag of perlite to my 5 bags of soil.

U'd be suprised how many people use 50% perlite for their mix.

i would only use that much if improper drainage was a problem when growing outdoor...otherwise thats too much

Old post I know but here is for, just incase. Ive had them(yellow spots on leaves) but they seem to stay isolated to like one branch or two on mine anyway. I got tired of looking at them and tripping on it so I cut that branch off. the growth was slow too on them but the rest of the plant did fine. dont know what it was. Ive found that sometimes my plants go through a minor problem and actually work itself out. If your doing everything right they will be fine. I use ff soil and the trio and nirvana thats it. I follow the ff sceduall. Be sure to always add about an inch if peral light at the bottom of you hole or pot so that the dranage is realy good, not just good. I aiso use lime 1 tblsp per gallon of soil. but be sure to wet it realy good after mixing it and stir it in. then let it sit for a day. do it again, then use. Also, listen man, your doing GREAT. Try not to worry too much and by the looks of them your going to do very well on yield. Pound or not, youll be suprised how much you'll get. Full sun! good soil and nutes. Your right on track. Just be sure you get them lots of water, they will neet it in full sun. let them dry up good but water several gallons on each one of them. 2 or three at least. hopefully your good on drainage.
