4 plant indoor set up.

Hey eevryone, i had a plan of growing 8 plants but that is going to be delayed so i'm gonna grow 4 plants soon but i dont know what set up would give me the best yield.

I wanna grow in Coco with certain nutes that i've chosen but i'm stomped on what lighting to use for 4 plants to achieve best yields and what size tent would be suitable for it.

I'm planning on growing 2 Serious seeds AK-47 and 2 Big Buddahs Cheese. What yield could i expect with these strains in the set up?

Thanks a lot guys in advance for the help :)

Buying your lighting now really depends on what you want to do in the future. Do you plan on growing 8 plants at a time? How big is your grow room? Based on growing 4 plants, a 400w HID would do just fine, but you may want to go bigger if you plan on growing more at one time and your grow room can support it.

Yield will depend on too many factors to predict.

I agree with Joker. Depending on if you start from seed or clone would be the only factor. With seeds you could use CFLs to get them started for the move to your system, but eventually you'd need more light ofc. If you're using clones and you have 4 then I'd prolly go with a 400w MH for veg then switch to a 400w HPS for flower. You'd just have to decide on the space. I just started 4 feminized mystery budz in a 3x3x6 tent. Grow journal has pics and I'm sure there are plenty of sizes to accomodate ;) Good luck and happy growing

Thanks for your help guys, i might just get a 1.2x1.2meter tent, put 6 plants in there and have a 600w hps for flowering and use a 400w mh for vegging. I'm gonna be growing from seeds at first but if i top all 6 of my plants, i could keep the top part as a clone and veg them in a small area like a cupboard or something until the plants flowering are harvested as i'm gonna be VERY tight on space.

What lights do you guys recommend me to use for 6 clones in a small space? I am going to want to veg for around 9 week. If the plants get outta control then im gonna clone them after 5 weeks and kill them so the clones get around 4 weeks veg so they are ready for flowering.

How is your ventilation set-up? For 6 clones you could go either way, 600w or 400w. I am going to be using a 400w MH/HPS light in my 3x3x5' tent and starting with 4-6 White Widow plants...I see that you live in London, so I don't want to give you my usual links for US growers. But Agrostar and Hortilux are good lights.

Hmm well i'll be using a AIRTEQ 150mm 6" EXTRACTOR FAN (690 m3/h) which will be sent into the room my grow tent will be in. I'll leave the window in the room open to help air circulation.
I wanna grow the 6 clones in a small space but the 400w mh light would probs make it really hot so i only wanna use the 400w mh in the grow tent.

Supz wavey. I thought about making a small cabinet-style area for clones/seedlings as well. I figure to avoid heat issues in small spaces use smaller bulbs. Clones and seedlings do need light yes, but not so much as say a flowering plant. CFLs are effective if you buy the right ones and dont put off so much heat. Consider yur options ;)

You might want to consider a blue spectrum 250w CFL for the vegging stage - it'll save you money in leccy and heat in your grow tent.... and I personally don't think it effects yield.

When it comes to flowering you could just go with a 400w HPS, it's pretty cheap to buy and run. Obviously a 600w will penetrate the canopy better, but it'll cost 50% to run and produce more heat.

Good luck geeza.... and remember.... don't tell anyone what you're doing.... loose lips sink ships.

Would a BLUE SPECTRUM 250W 8U E40 CFL be enough for 6 clones? Also how many of those CFLs would i need later on after the clones start to get big?

i only use the cfl for rooting and 1st week or 2 of veg. then switch to 600hps. using cfl stops it getting leggy so space between nodes is less. gives her a gentle start 2 life:mrgreen: if you use cfl all way thru u not gonna end up with much bud m8. hps all the way:peace:
