Those ladies are lookin nice AimAim! I can't wait until I get the chance to do some outdoor growing, it's so much more natural and I'd imagine it to be very fulfilling.

I also observed the various ideas on the net about plant care after starting my first indoor with 600W recently and some seemed excessive or odd. But then when ya think some people are growing their own supply of medicine, or just connoisseurs. i guess the pursuit of excellence takes over the heart. I admit i was enamored with all the gadgets and have spent enough already, i just had too step back a bit and realize theirs a million ways too crack an egg.
I agree, to me and many others it's just a hobby, and everyone should do what they want to with their hobby. I just get aggravated when people make blanket statements indicating there IS only one way to crack an egg. Whenever I read things like "MG is shit nutes and you WILL burn your plants" well right away that person has zero credibility in my book because I know thats not the case. They either can't grow mold on bread, or they have never tried it, just parroting something they read that another parrot posted.

I also see tons of F'ed up plants with all types of grows, using top $ nutes, top $ soils, and $2000 hydro set ups.

Smokingdog - Not much of an odor on any of them yet, I've got several weeks left though and I'm sure that is coming down the road.

Chuckdizzle - Outdoor grows are a lot of fun, and cheap to pull off. You don't have a lot invested, time or $ wise, so whatever smoke you get is all good. Yields can be staggering. It's not for everyone though, if you want to micromanage your plant and are used to growing the most perfect green blemish free plant, you're gonna get ulcers when critters and bugs chew holes in them, the leaves get blotchy and tattered, or an ATV drives over a couple of your plants. Thats another story though.(ATV plants actually survived and yielded well, they were run down in early flower. People fret about stressing their plants with a little topping or supercropping, ATVs are definitely in the High Stress Training category!)

Someone PM'd me demanding a picture of the weed in the phone lines "or it didn't happen". Didn't even respond. This was the 70's. Ya think I'm gonna snap some pics and take them into Walgreens to get developed, dumbass?

Hey, they are looking good. Ive got four 'white cheese' under a 600 at the moment. LST'd. Almost ready to flower but contemplating to leave them in veg a little longer. What yield would you estimate you will get per plant?

Wouldn't even want to venture a guess. You do it right and you can supposedly easily get .5 gram/watt, maybe up to .75G/W to as much as 1 gram/watt if you are a real stud. You do it wrong, you get nothing, or next to nothing.

Keep in mind this is my first total indoor grow so I'm just repeating what I've read. Reading some other grow journals and looking at pics of plants same at stage as yours and the harvest yields would be my suggestion for coming up with your own estimate. Breeders estimates are for marketing and the potential yields are usually based on absolutely perfect execution of a grow, and some are just B.S. in my opinion.

Good luck - AIM

Nice lookin ladies man, one question, when you fim, it is removing that little budlet of new growth coming up correct? And topping would be chopping off growth above a set of nodes so they get more energy to become tops...?

The 600W HPS cool tube is probably 15" above canopy, I could get it closer with no heat damage but I need the height to get the light footprint spread out enough.
nice grow dude, i have been having not so much heat damage under lights but it has been bleaching out the leaves under its hot spot, also same thing under the led's in the tent i think hit over kill on the light : ( aprox 1100w im a 5x5 cooled with ac, 500 watts are leds (and yes thats what they pull from the wall so its a super potent 500w) also its a vented hood on the hps. i just ordered a cool tube. i have two grow rooms. im thinking about putting swapping a 400w into the tent and moving the 600w to the second grow room which is about the same size but not as tall with no led's. my point is do you get this problem with your 600w? the plants are healthy but just can't seem to get enough nitro to keep the leaves green under the hot spot. bud still is growing and looks dank

OK, I guess an update is in order here.

Pics from today. The White Rhino is kind of crashing, pick a couple or 3 leaves yellow off every day. I guess she's starting to check out.

Cheeses and W Widow are going strong, getting some dark pistils so I'm thinking another 3 weeks anyway. Anyway everything is cool. Check out the pics, comments entertained.May 1 2013 001.jpgMay 1 2013 002.jpgMay 1 2013 003.jpgMay 1 2013 004.JPGMay 1 2013 005.jpgMay 1 2013 006.jpgMay 1 2013 008.jpgMay 1 2013 009.jpg
