I would do 4 5 gallons so you have extra room to let them bush out and with 6.5 feet you have plenty of height. I recently transplanted 3 3.5 week old plants out of 2.25 gallon pots into 5's and they were already filling in the soil heavily with root system. I think they would have been okay for a short time longer, but in those 5's they seemed to have picked up the pace.

T5's I hear have a little better penetration than CFL's, and my 3 month old under CFL's has already filled the 5 gal. pot she is in.

You should go with the 5 gallons, and I would personally give serious consideration to putting up a scrog screen. You can really maximize you yield by evening out the canopy. That being said if you were to do so, in a 3x3 space you may only need 2 plants, though with only a month of veg it would really depend on the genetics to do it right.

Oh ya why not veg under the 600w if you wanna grow some bushes!

i suggest you look at fabric pots or maybe even better air pots. well worth the money and reusable. wouldnt mess with regular pots and if you do go that route just get bags but from experience air pots and fabric is much better for em and will make bigger plants with less pot size. me,,Id go http://www.roguehydro.com/superoots-air-pots/?sort=priceasc with .3 gals for seedlings thru 3 weeks and transplant to 3 gals. buy the deep dish matching saucers as well as a 7 buck suphon to get the excess water out so you dont have to move em and water them well with no spills. experimenting with 2 gals and not sure yet about those but they take less space then 3 gals. imo

I'm getting ready to try the smart pots in my ebb and flow table. The square ones are awesome, and I really like the root pruning effect.

Unless you can fit 9 3 gallon pots, I would go with 4 5 gallon. With six pots in a square tent, not sure it would make sense. However, I do think 3g smart pots would be fine for your tent. I've grown in both 3 and 5g smart pots and haven't seen any different in yield. That being said, I do typically go with 6 5g smart pots in my 3.5x6 space.
