3x3 tent odor control issue

I have a cooltube linked to 2 months old carbon filter and extractor blowing 24/7 (there's no other air extraction).
I keep 2 extra smelly ladies in 5 week flowering.
The carbon filter gets rid of 90% of the smell, but still I can smell fresh mj in the apartment.

Any ideas? Honestly I was hoping that the carbon filter would get rid of the smell completely..

It depends on the aprtment complex. Mine is an open apartment complex. which means you dont walk in a building to get to your place. Not only that everybody has their own AC unit so they have their own ventilation system. As long as i keep the smell in my place nobody would know.

Yeah, it's not a legal issue where I live.
I just dont want everybody to know immediately, that I grow.

Thanks for the tips guys. So my carbon filter is ok? this is normal?

Mine doesn't get rid of the smell 100% either. I think I need to dial down the extractor fan a little being as I put new carbon in the filter a week ago. My partner is getting nervous.

I have no idea what brand mine is. I bought it used. It worked really well till I got this new strain in my room. So stinky. I thought it was the filter going bad, so I pulled it apart and put new carbon in it. It's a little better, but I can still catch a whif once and awhile. Actually quite often.

I've never tried to make my own carbon filter before. I have always thought that I couldn't get the carbon to pack tightly enough to capture the odors. I use Phresh filters and only run it on a 12/12. I only notice smells seeping out when the lights/fan are off. Make sure that you aren't pulling too much air through your filter too fast. ie. slow your fan down.

I use ozone and ona gel to knock out the residual smells.

Good luck
