3x3 grow tent soil grow 600 watt hps

Hey all. This is my first attempt at growing. I have been reading and reading TONS of these grow journals and have learned lots from it. I would love to share my journey with you.

GROWTENT SETUP
3x3 Sunhut growtent

5 clones (from a club) in 5 gal pots
using HAPPY FROG potting soil

(three) 3xCrazy aka Optimus Prime ( GDP, Bubba, OG, I believe)
(two) "UNDERDAWG"
Now, I'm almost 100% sure it isn't really from Loompa, so I actually have no idea what the 2nd strain is. I'd love some help with ID if possible

600 watt air cooled hood with reflecter and 6 inch exhaust fan
2 little clip fans
RH around 45% with a bucket of water in the tent (i was letting in some cool air from my window and the rh dropped to 20% earlier, then I added the bucket and it's been better since)
temp sits nicely between 70-76 throughout the day and night
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll be doing some LST on all of them. the 3xcrazy has been topped by the club I got it from. The underdawg had not, so I popped the tops and did very minor supercropping

I planted them in my soil about 24 hours ago, I added some Subculture-M (mycros) before transplanting and they seem to be doing fine. maybe a little perkier from when I got them. I gave them a lite watering and that's it. I'll be feeding them some Compost Tea my grow store sells soon. I was given a sample pack of "Earth Juice" nutes (
("oilyCann" cal-mag, silica, sugar peak "transition", bloom "elements", bloom "master")

I plan to lay the plants down & tie them to promote big bushy plants, and sort of "bend" them into a SCRoG net.(which is not yet in place) (possibly suppercropping along the way?)

and I'm planning to drop some Co2 in the room through a bag, or mushroom kit or something.

I realize I may not get very much yield from this grow, but I'm going to try to get some real fire.

I welcome and very much appreciate any advice.

(Pictures soon)

sorry about the pictures it wouldn't let me upload the regular way? so I hope that's okay.

Tied the girls down today, they were all very easy to work with and took well to the training I think. I gave them a feeding of some Sugar Peak Veg and Earth Juice OilyCann. I think I went a littttle overboard with nutes ( and accidentally over-watered one of them...sheesh I didn't expect to make so many mistakes so early!) and they might be showing some signs of burning. hopefully it's nothing to worry about :)

hey guys, I'd appreciate some help with this

I just gave the girls a feeding of some calmag after a nice flushing of just water.

When I first received my clones (tthe 3xCrazy) I noticed a little bit of what looked like white powder on one of the leaves, I asked the budtender about it and he just wiped it off and said it was nothing. I figured it was powder mold but I thought it would go away in the tent. I've been wiping trace amounts off of the leaves the past few days, but I'm now seeing a frightening amount on some of the leaves. Not a ton, but enough to make me realize this is a problem.

I'm also just tonight seeing what looks like mold on the bottom of my containers where soil is showing.

the plants are on their first day of 18/6 and the temp with lights on is between 70-78 and around 68-74 with lights off. I have 2 clip fans constantly moving air, as well as the 6 inch exhaust fan.

Hoping this isn't a big deal...:joint:

sounds like a humidity issue... would be quite common with that 600 in that small 3x3.. there are a few ways you could deal with this.

add an intake fan i run 2200 watts in a 6x6 and run two 6 inch intake fans and it drops my humidity by ALOT..i turn on one for veg and both in flowering..

i have to ask aswell.. do you ever see any moisture when your leaves touch.. if you go into your tent find an overlapping leaf and see if there is any moisture where the overlapping leaf was.

2nd if the fans are not an option...or cash is tight... depending on the stage of your grow you could prune some leaves a bit of "canopy management" never goes a miss "lightly" up until the second week of flowering.. after that point i would not advise this..

you could also remove undergrowth and add a fan under your canopy to allow more airflow between your plants.. set on a low setting as if too powerful it will dry your soil out fast..

i would deal with this problem as soon as possible as if you start getting dense nugs in there it only takes one warm day/night when your not around and your buds will ROT...

any more questions needed feel free to reply i will write back asap.

thanks

Hey Xavier thanks for the reply!

humidity sits between about 45-55 with lights on and high 50's to low 60's with lights off.

I haven't noticed any moisture, but it does seem to be only leaves that are close to the bottom and not getting as much light, it also seems like it's only on some of the older uglier leaves.

I'll post some pictures right after my coffee.

if I HAD to get another fan it wouldn't be the end of the world or the budget. I can basically still afford some small stuff as long as I can reserve some cash for my carbon filter.

Hey all! It's been a good week in my humble opinion :bigjoint:

The girls are looking good, still seeing remnants of the deficiency, but I think I've got it under control. I'm impressed by the growth! Even the little Underdogs took off (one more than the other..haha)

Still seeing SMALL amounts of powder mold..only on the 3xCrazy not sure what to do. RH has been pretty stable and I put another fan to move some air.

Here are some pictures, we tied down a bunch of leaves opening up plenty of room for light to get onto the new growth.

I think I'm going to switch to 12/12 on February first. Let me know what you guys think.

The last pictures are after some tying down of leaves and lst.

Woooooo :bigjoint:another successful week.

Last night we did the last bit of tying the girls down before they grow into the net!

They got a good feeding of compost tea, Epsom salt and Sugar peak Transition. Today will be the first day of 12/12. The pictures are from last night

Yeah there's still some PM everywhere..lol..I'm headed to buy a sulfer burner right now to hopefully end this long before flowers show.

Let me know what you guys think feel free to post.

Looking good...subbed
Hey man thank you!

one of the clip fans I had somehow managed to fall right on top of one of the 3xCrazy...thankfully the net was in place  so it didn't break anything. It sort of bent 2 branches...I think they'll recover just fine..I actually think it will promote some stress growth..lol

Sulfer burner is def working...man, it does not smell good. lol. I turned my fans back on after the sulfer burn..I hope that's okay.

well not in any bad way, :) just following along.
Happy to have you along for the ride bongsmilie

Thing's are moving along just fine in my opinion..the plants have grown a lot and I think I'm seeing some pre flowers.

what do you guys think? Happy plants? The underdogs in the back almost can't even be seen...they're so much smaller. Branches and all are so fragile. much different from the 3xCrazy

I feel lIke maybe the underdog is staying true to its name and holding out until later...or they're just a couple duds taking up space..haha...they'll end up making bho if they dont produce well enough.

edit : I've been thinking about possibly picking up a high producing clone to drop in there and bud just to supplement the underdog's being so small. I don't want them to end up producing a few grams each and wasting my grow space..I'm not sure

I know this question might be silly or a total noob thing but what do you guys thing I could yeild here? I'm hoping for a few OZ's.

I see so many things I want to do differently on my next grow already.
