Big world of ours 'tween you myself and RM3 as I am 6'3" and 240! And RM3 is like 7' and 400 I heard:twisted:

So hows da smokin??

Namaste' my Big friend:eyesmoke:
The ladies are awesome. We finished off the first girl pretty quick between my wife and daughter. She came down early and was a nice heady buzz. No couch lock or munchies.

The second Lady was closer to being done at 60 days. She is a nice combo high that is a little creeper. More of a couch lock definitely but she seeded up on me. Not a huge amount but enough.

The 3rd lady is still drying so not sure what she is gonna be like? I am thinking more stoney than the rest being at 63 days when she came down. Hope she didn't seed up also!

They are all good in my eyes since I grew them. There is nothing like partaking with my own grown! I prefer to call it that because of the stigma associated with being called "home grown".lol Although I will take all of this home grown I can get.

Multy Peace!

Discovered hairs on the last 3 to go into flower. They sexed in 5 and 6 days since flipping them to 12/12. That is the fastest I have seen them do it. So now a total of 6 ladies under the CMH. The growth rate under the CMH is incredible compared to the cfl's.

Another 3 ladies in day seven of 12/12. These gills sexed in 5 and 6 days! They were only vegged for 5 weeks same as the other three but, These ladies spent 12 hrs. a day under the CMH and the last six back in the Veg cab during that time. Although there was not much difference in their look when I flipped them, they seem to be farther along at this stage compared to there sisters. I also raised them 10 inches higher than were I started their sisters in 12/12. It seems to be holding down the stretch but we will have to see. Two of their sisters stretched pretty hard and the third stayed nice and compact. Might be the Sativa coming out more? Not sure because I don't know what they are crossed with.

Day 28 for these girls!:weed: They are coming along nicely with high trichome production. As you can see from the pics, the 2 on the out side edge are the stretched ladies and also the ones to sex first of the three? The middle lady stayed shorter and seems bushier to me.

Group Photo of the PK's. You can see how the 2 on the outside back are a good 6 inches taller than there counter part. :? Probably a little Sativa showing though?

Anyway, let me know what ya think?

So I have read in here of the benefits of all the different lighting and I choose to go with the CMH as my main lighting source and for good reason. If you have done any research you will discover that in par value it is the closest to the sun. I believe that there is no comparison for trich production and resin formation. That being said, I also believe that it limits the size of bud production. I have read about several growers who will use an HPS for 2 weeks during flower to bulk up their buds and then finish them off back under the CMH.

Well I am going to try this technique two different ways. I am going to switch out the CMH tonight at lights out for 2 weeks and then switch em back to the CMH. By doing it this way I will have one set of ladies starting the HPS in the middle of flower and one at the beginning. This way I will be able to see what turns out the better way.

Really the only reason for dong it this way is because that is the way the timing worked out. lol it's going to be interesting to see what the difference is going to be. If I stay on a there plant every three week cycle, than every other set will grow that way. HPS in middle wks, than beginning, than middle, than beginning, etc.

Anyway thats the plan so thought ya might like to know?

do you think it may be the higher amounts of yellow light? i know the CMH has it in the par value, but it is not as noticable to the human eye as the HPS. i also know people say plants dont see light the way the human eye does. but maybe some of hte light the human eye sees the plants see the same way, and desire it that way as well, hence the yellow HPS bulb and lighter CMH. that was my guess, purely hypothetical, behind the bud growth. sounds like a fun experiment!! either way you end up with your bud!!!

has to do with 2 things, the actual photon power of the higher wattage hps in the red spectrum and the heat, why I'm doing the IR heat experiment, today they are at 85 and gonna get another storm :)

Some of my decision was based on an a post that Riddle has in his "Members Nuggets" section by a cat named ZEUS. I read a thread that the subject was if ya want sticky icky use hid and if ya want bulk use the hps. I figured why not get the best of both? Plus like gumball said, either way I get my bud so what can it hurt.

As I said in my earlier post. The ladies started there two weeks of HPS. It will be interesting to see how it affects each stage of growth.

Well I decided which of the last three girls I was going to keep and try to re-veg. The second one to come down is going to be saved and has been up -canned to a 3 gal pot so she can get some fresh soil around her. I have not really paid attention to any new growth but now that she has been up-canned, I will be watching her closer!

I have been so busy this last few weeks that I have not given the girls the attention they deserve. Went down this morning an what is the first thing I see on one of my ladies? Bananas! So I look a little closer and Viola! I have sacks blowing up on her. :oWTF!!!. I talked earlier in the thread about how I think that there are two types of Hermie's. The first being a plants normal tendency to ensure survival of it's self and then theirs stress induced caused from an abnormal change to their regular growing cycle, ie: light stress, severe temp changes, injury to the plant, or any number of things. I believe mine to be caused by an increase in the amount of stray light leakage from my Veg cabinet. When I started the re-veg I put a clamp light in the cab next to it and have just been propping up a board in front of it. It did add more light but I did not realize how much till last night when I checked on em when I got home from work and there is actually quite a bit more than I started with!:-| Well seeing how its been 2 weeks since I started the re-veg light cycle and I believe that it takes approx 10-14 days for the pollen sacks to open-up like the one I found, than I think that it's safe to say the increase in light caused the change in her. What I need to do is get of my stoner ass and get that cab worked out. I am going to need the room because of the added time to veg for the young one's in the cab.

Or, maybe it's just bad genetics?:-? Hell I don't know. I do know if she starts seeding up really bad I will have to chop her. Not interested in the seeds from her so don't care about them maturing. It only adds to the length of the cycle.

Anyway, here is some pic's!

If you look close at the middle of the pic, than you can see the sack that opened up.

Day 35 for these ladies. Pic 2 is the Hermie I was talking about. She/He still looks yummy though. Also look at the difference in hieght. The middle lady is quite a bit shorter and has been at the same distance as the others I have been raising her as the new set grow to keep the canopy even. Maybe thats why she stayed shorter?

View attachment 1125702

And lastly is the re-veg that started this shit. She has started growing again so I will keep her in the veg cab for another 2-3 weeks and then flip her back to flower. She is an awesome smoke and only gets better everday she is in the jar.

As always, let me know what ya think.

Damn, that sucks about the herms but looking good otherwise!

I'd invest is some black fabric, if you have a store near you like Jo-ann Fabrics, they have all kinds of good material you could hang in between your cab to help the flowering plants stay flowering while your veg lights are on next door

Don't fret, hermies happen, we just gotta deal with em

simply take a step back and ponder on what else may have caused stress and then fix it

Ding!Ding!Ding! We have a winner. Thats exactly what I was thinking. Using some black out fabric will kill the light leaks and I will be able to take the door off for a little increased ventilation and cooling. Kinda put it on like a skirt for a buffet table?

"n ya? that does suck, but at least it provided you with the motivation to fix the problem that caused it!! :bigjoint: I will wish I could help ya while I go burn one!!![/QUOTE]

Just stopping in helps enough GB. Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks buddy. Not to worried about it really. Just deal with it and try and resolve the issue. Pretty sure it was the increase in light's like I said so gonna do what wedoozie recommended with some fabric. My only worry is its genetics because these are the PK's that I got from a friend.

When it comes down to it, I am pretty happy with how they are doing. Ive smoked Hermie weed in the past, I'm smoking it now as I write this, and apparently I am going to be smoking it again in around 3 weeks so all is good. :hump:
