tonight they got fed a mix of 3 teaspoons of tiger bloom and 2 teaspoons big bloom mixed in a gallon of water. i split the gallon between the 3 plants and it barley seeps out of the bottom holes. i've been feeding every 3 days, letting the soil dry completly. the temps have been in the mid 60's with lights off and the mid 80's with them on. the humidity has been 60% give or take 10.

i also got them some extra lighting. 2, 150 watt cfl's, they are hanging about half way up.

and for any of you interested in the bubbleponics bucket i have going. i've killed 4 bagseeds in it. the 2 surving plants are looking decent. one of them started getting nute brun so i changed water and it was amazing how quick they responded.

Sounds like you've got things under control. Good job. I like how you give the detail on water not seeping out of the holes and your feeding schedule. This should all help someone in the future!

Go papaya! Mine are looking so nice right now :)

Basically, you want to get to the point with your water skills where, you are able to water the pots and have just a tad bit of water come out the bottom. There are 2 reasons for this, first reason is it makes sure the soil is wet all the way to the bottom, and the second reason is to make sure you don't lose your precious nutrients (which is true if you add nutrients to your water and over water).

Together we'll get this right.

the new look for riu will take some getting use too....

the plants are 24", 21", and 16". the tallest is the burn baby, the smallest is the one i pinched the head off.
i can't belive how much water they are using, they are almost all the way dry.
i was just looking at fox farms feeding schudule, i'm giving them double of what they recomend and no signs of nute burning.
pics coming in the a.m.

hey folks, i took the day off work and i have been busy. i put 4 papaya seeds in germination, 4, 3gal pots full of happyfrog soil, mixed with 2 cups of worm castings. the bubbleponics tub is gone to make room for the seedlings. i had some heavy duty poster board that i sprayed an adhesive to and then covered them with mylar, came out great. i'm going to grow these 4 seedlings under 12 cfl's. with a 24 hour lights on. i'm thinking these seedlings will be big enough to put in the 12/12 cabinet by the time my big girls are ready. i'm going to be making a seed order later on today. blueberry is on the list, you all name another. i'll get some pics up later

Awesome grow! I plan on growing papaya and big bud in about 5 weeks, then crossbreeding the 2.

Hopefully the new seeds will have the yield of the big bud and potency and height of the papaya.

I switched my soil out of miracle grow to coast of maine because my plants were almost dead :(

They love the new stuff though!!!
