3rd Cfl Grow, 155 True watts, 1st Rubbermaid Grow

a friend of mine ive traded some toys back and forth with growing up has the ridiculously over priced seadoo speedster and is have some financial trouble.
he doesnt owe much on it and wants my 4 wheeler so we might work something out.

the ol lady has never even touched my babys.i mean her babys. im fukn around cuz shes the legal med patient. one of us has to be! i let her start our 1st grow.she was takin classes at the dipensary. they &her had those plants so loaded and sik,i took over.gottem straight & we pollinated them. we had no idea i could grow something.im hooked like an addict.sorry for the confusion. she was all tipsy othernite on that wine and was touchn 1 of my md's and almost broke a lil branch. i freaked out& kikt her outa my shed. she said its justa plant god! i said ur gonna meet god u do that again!

ok so after 2 days in the closet and a day or 2 in the mason jar i smoked i got 7 grams dry haha. not to bad for how small it was i guess...

anyway i just smoked a bowl and it definitley does the job. can tell its some premature shit and not the best but def some fire. really good for some bagseed that i cant even remember what sack it came from. anyway, on to the next one...

cant remember if i told you guys this or not but i have 4 23w 6500k and 1 40w 2700k cfls on 18/6 in there with 7 cups and seeds, same strain as before. im gonna veg till they atleast show sex but hopefull no more then the 3rd node because i only want to keep 2. the rest might find them selfs down the road. really dont care cause i have a million seeds from this strain. i only want to veg till 3rd node and only top once. ill get some pics up when things get rolling....

edit: the lights are 3-4" from plants max and will stay that way to keep them short and bushy...even though i only want to top once, if it takes longer to show the sex i will top as much as i can and however long it takes and then maybe only keep the nicest one. just have to wait and see

after about 3-4 weeks in veg. the plants will show preflowers dude. its a little harder to tell sex then just flowering but theres a ton of pics here on RIU about it bro check it out. its really convenient once you figure out how to do it

Thanks man, well in this tote i havnt gone all the way to a true harvest. My first grow i got about 30 grams, and my second grow i got a little over 2 oz's off 2 plants. my 3rd grow that i just chopped because i was tired of looking at it lol i got about a quarter...

in this tote i can fit 4 1gallon pots. i could fit more lights or even some bigger ones but then the temps would be to much. i wouldnt try to finish 4 plants in here though. it would take to long bro. I would do 2 though and on a 3-4 month grow i could prolly pull around 2 oz's i guess. i did it last time with about this much cfl wattage....
im building a new cab and going with a 400hps so stay tuned man lol. let me know if you need help on your grow bro, im usually not to hard to find

Thanks dude I appreciate it and that's pretty dope not a bad amount and I hear ya on gettin tired of Lookin at it I'm pretty impatient so when I got buds im gonna have to fight to not cut it down hahaha this is my first grow so im just learning I am gonna move on to a bigger set up once I can handle a plant or 2 decently what are you putting the Hps in?

i got tired of looking at my last plant (btw that was the first grow inside the tote, my other grows were mostly in tents but with cfl) anyway..
i got tired of looking at it because it was my first attempt at 12/12 from seed and it did ok i guess, i learned some stuff which is always cool but it really made me want an hid light because of how fucking fluffy the buds started getting. when they first started to bud they got rock solid. then the buds started to grow taller and never really filled in, so i chopped her to start vegging instead of finishing one plant that really wouldnt be worth the wait ya know...i chopped my first grow early because i couldnt wait anymore, however. i did finish and cure all of my second grow. mind you every grow ive done has been the same strain. but after doing it "right" i wont ever go back man...
The buds dont even start to really fill in untill the last 2 weeks or so, in me experience/research of course...any on to the new cab lets see....

Ok guys im vegging in my tote untill my new cab is complete. It will consist of the following...

2.5 x 2.5 x 5.5 (width, length, height) plywood box with a shelf at 20" from top. Painted white on the inside, as well as some 2x4's running across the top for the hangers.

The top section is going to have a 150w cfl with reflector mounted to the top for veg with a small desk fan for circulation

The bottom section is going to have a 400w hps, digital ballast with an EasyCool6 reflector. as well as a much stronger desk fan, like the black honeywell's incase anyone has used those, which will be mounted to the side

Its also getting a 6" inline fan (424 cfm) and carbon filter which will take the heat from the light, then split to pick up the top section, then come back to go through the filter and exhaust out and up into the ceiling.

the shelf will be completely light proof as i will be using some fire puddy around the edges as well as caulk. the door will just be cut right into the side with some hinges. im going to put some molding on the inside of the door "frame" to block light from coming out.

i know there wont be a whole lot of height for them to grow, even though im only gonna use 1 gallon pots. But i was thinking about making a small 1/8" trellis out of conduit that could be put in there when its needed with some sort of sliding brackets on it to adjust height. And i will have to tie the shit out of them but whatever works. im working with some serious space issues these days...expect the project underway by 1st week of june
