3rd CFL, 1st PC Grow.

Been looking around and noticed a few of these PC efforts popping up so hopefully it'll be good to be among those ranks and my plant will do the stock justice.
I've grown in the past. My first effort was a real ghetto operation done in a poorly hollowed out dresser and with some bagseed from a friend. There are pics of the vegging and early flower phases, but I lost my net and access to a camera towards the end so I was never able to share my harvest.

The second grow I was merely a co-conspirator giving guidance to help a friend set-up his first effort, but I consider myself to have been an integral part all the same lol and it provided me with the ever important experience factor.

So now I've got lots of time on my hands and a PC box that I set up for a little micro grow. I like the idea of the limitations a PC box puts on the plant, and the many ways in which we as growers try to break them all the time. I've got a few simple pics of the PC Tower, but I've yet to plant the seeds. Here's the kit:

SIZE = 17" x 17" x 7"
LIGHTS = 2x 23w 5000k, 1x 23 6500k, 3x 23w 2700k
FANS = 2x large PC fan, 1x small PC fan - both rewired to 9v

The first of the pictures is the clever pile of things that nobody will ever expect me to clean or root through.
The second is the PC box hidden in said pile, with its lights on and fans running.
The last is the open PC side panel off and the layout. Only 1 bulb in for now as I'm just making sure my timers working and nothing is going to catch fire lol Hopefully the seeds will pop soon so I can get to growing.

Anyway, something I need still is a new temp/humid gauge, so that's something to do between now and the start.

Anyway, I'll update once the seeds get into the cups and then things can get interesting. :weed:

Looks great so far, is there any outtake fan in there? Also how did you go about gettin rid of that annoying square chunk of metal in the corner (if you know what I mean?)? and are you planning on just using that 1 bulb the whole time because unless thats a high powered cfl i really dont think thats going to be sufficeient :p

Hahahaha Oh boy do I know what you mean lol. I was befuddled by that beast myself. Eventually I used a strong pair of snips (like the big ol' break and enter ones) and just went at her. I warped the frame a little in the progress, which led to a few very minor light leaks, nothing that will matter buried under that pile.
The outake fan is screwed onto the outer part and then that black tube up to the left of the lights is to help keep the light from getting out, but I might remove that since the pile is sufficient.
No, I mentioned all the lights I have, that was just so that I didn't waste to much energy during my empty runs (before I put the seeds in).

Thanks, I'm hopeful that with a little LST and some luck from the bag seed I might net myself a half-o or so.
I'll be trying to get as many pics as possible. Its a great way to keep track of our ladies as they mature, but sadly, I'm still not happy with the taproots progress on my seeds, but hopefully tonight I'll put them in at the start of the night cycle, so they can adjust to the soil, and the lights will wake them up tomorrow eager to get me HIGH:leaf:

You might want to do a trial run now with all the lights to see where your temps are. It'll be even warmer with some plants in there. Best to find out now if you'll have heat problems.

Ya, doing some now, I gotta head out and get a thermometer and humid reader, my old one is no long locatable, I'm just going by feel, but it should be ok, if it runs to hot I've got another fan I could probably squeeze in.

A few technical issues have put a kink my my flow here and my grow needs to move.
No big thing really, just needed to redo seeds cause I didn't have a place to put them, thou thinking back, under a lamp might have been a good resolve.

Anyway, another day or two should be new pics of new hopefuls.

This is the result of my curse. And my seeds not popping. Got some in the warm now, going to put 1 in a little black baggie and some paper towel right tucked up on top of my stereo receiver, outta the light and nice and warm, as in my drawer didn't seem warm enough for my last effort. I'll probs pics that later so all can bare witness to my curse in action lol
