hi guys I'm a total noob to growing so I'm going to start with lowlifes auto ak 47. Today I bought a 35 watt cfl (biggest the shop had in cfl) it is equivelent to a 175 watt ordinary bulb and produces 1750 lumens. Is this enough to grow this plant do you think?

nope invest the money in a good light or your product will be disapointing at best. not the answer you want to hear but its true. their are alot of threads here on lighting do a quick search u can use cfl's thats not the problem you jusy need alot of them and proper positioning

Your gonna need more light. Id get one or two more 35 watter just because the equivelent dont mean shit and this way you plant will have plenty light and you will be happy when you smoke it.

It's only going to 1 plant. Grow space will be 2.5ft by 3 ft by 4ft. I don't want a huge crop just a mediocre crop will be fine with me

yeah for that you want about 150w of cfls for a fully load good plant so yeah pick up 2 more of different spectrums look for 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering

Thats a giant area for 1 plant.. Even with HID you'd be better off squeezing the walls in, or surrounding it tighter with reflectors of some sort.. You will want broader light distribution than can be provided with any single cfl.. Any investment you make in lighting will pay for itself in this crop alone, whether its more cfl's of whatever wattage, or HID.. What you have is great in a veg chamber..

1ftx1ftx2ft8.. Doable with effort, now probably a bit tight.. Ventilation is a big factor in small spaces too.. What do you have for that?

what thinking of opening door now and again and having hole for ventilation. I have a fan to put beside it. I am very much a noob.

Toss a thermometer in there and see what happens.. But if you can keep the door open why bother with a teeny cabinet setup?? Gotta plan for the worst case scenario, and hope for the best case scenario..

It's fairly cold where I live so I'm putting it into to box. It's going in a shed outside that has insulation but fuck all heat.
