3400 watts and a lady named Albert

We re-potted to five gallon square pots yesterday and as we suspected, the two plants that were not growing had not rooted in the one gallon pots. So they are gone now and we are left with 17.

Another change we made yesterday is that we are no longer vegging under a sole 400w MH. Now we have upped it to two trays with two 400w HPS along with the 400w MH which is free hanging between the trays. So basically we added another 800w into the mix.

This week is the start of week three for our little Albert Walker's and it is the week where all the magic happens. Week three of veg is the week where our nutrient line suggests we give them the super ingredient which is only for use during one week of the entire cycle. Throughout our last grow the plants doubled (maybe more than doubled) in size in our third week of veg and we are hoping for similar results this time.

Anywho, here are a few pics of how the AW's are doing in their new homes.

This is the mother and she is the only one in a soil mixture. We have to get her into her own little home, but we are still working out those details.

Alright, a quick little Monday update. The plants started really growing into one another after a few days on the Cyco XL, so we moved them into the final five trays. Right now we are running 5x400w HPS. We turned the MH off because it was increasing the room temperature too much for some reason. Right now we are either looking at vegging for either five weeks, or this might be our final week before pushing them into flower. We'll see how this week turns out.

Anyway, here are some pics. This first pic is just a good looking girl.

This is the first one we have had to stake.

This is our tray of weaklings and the mother. We actually only gave her one small feeding of Cyco XL to keep her more manageable. She has fallen way behind in this past week.

And here is the the first group shot with them in their final trays. Gotta love seeing that Orange tinge again.

Alright, we are taking the plants into flowering now after four full weeks. Here is a picture of how full they have become.

This is our new little veg room.

It's a 16 site top feed that recycles to a reservoir underneath. We should have some plants up and kicking in here by next week.

Alright, we're chugging along nicely. We don't have any new plants in the other room yet because the clones are not showing roots. Some of them look like they are alive while others are struggling mightily. Other than that, we caged the AW's today because they are getting so plump. Here are some pictures.

Your setup is super clean sudy... plants look fantastic as well.
Thanks man. I was reading through your journal yesterday and see that you are doing quite alright for yourself. Congrats

Edit- btw, that plant in your signature is fucking awesome.

Thanks a lot man. That one is a blue cheese girl that was LST'd and SC'd like crazy. It was my biggest of that strain This grow has given me a lot of experience that's for sure.

subbed. thanks for the pics of your set up. I'm going to basically copy it if you don't mind. are you hand watering in flower because I only see the jug and then in the veg room your top feeders. I love that digital night visible trimeter. where can I get one? also, what is the white material you used on the walls? I commend your military precision in the build of the room. as a clean freak, I hope to make my room just as neat and tidy.

Haha, I don't mind if you copy. The white plastic around the room is called panda paper and you can basically find it at any grow shop. The flower room has a 50 gallon water reservoir and a 15 gallon nutrient reservoir. Those trays have hard piping all the way around the edges with soft poly actually feeding the plants. We use a drain to waste system which is not feasible for a lot of people. Is that an option for you? I think I said it before, but if you go with a ready grow mixture you cannot use a recirculating system. There are definitely some advantages to using our setup, for example
1) We only feed once a day
2) 24 hour feedback-If you fuck your plants up you will have a lot easier time saving them
3) It allows you to really dial in your nutrient cycle
4) The Ready Grow holds moisture very well, much better than hydroton

Disadvantages
1) Later on in flower you will have to fill up your reservoir every couple days. It sucks.
2) You go through a shit load more nutrients this way, so it's not as cost effective.
3) If you live in an urban area it is hard to dispose of wasted water. We live in a very isolated area and this is not a problem for us.

Also, with the equipment you have already I could probably help you set up a pretty awesome system. How much more are you willing to spend, because that PH, PPM, Water Temp meter was around $220. It is called a control wizard products trimeter if you want to look it up. Lastly, the square pots are just something that our local grow shop got in before we started this last grow. I think they actually started carrying them because we kept asking for them. They are not mesh bottom pots though, so we had to drill a bunch of holes in them.

Oh for sure. It is amazing how you go from feeling like an amateur to feeling super confident in no time flat. In this grow we are trying all sorts of new things. It is pretty fun. How much did you end up yielding off that grow?

So, these plants are getting massive in a hurry. We have been bending branches like crazy and tying them down like little dirty whores. During our last grow we were feeding the plants at about 75% of the manufacturers recommendation and the plants showed signs on nutrient burn, but in this grow we are going over the recommendation and the plants are soaking it up. These things are nute pigs. Hopefully they yield like they drink.

The weekly group shot

These bad dogs are everywhere now

We cloned 25 and 12 survived, so here is a picture. Hopefully we'll get another four and fill up those baskets. This should be an interesting veg room because it will be under just 525 watts. I think they should be fine.

Yes! This is the stuff right here.

Things are looking stellar again. Everything looks clean and tight just like last time. And those yellow clone boxes are a great addition.

I have had a few people say that they are jealous of me in my journal, but if I'm jealous of you, what does that make you?

Interesting details on your process btw. Very informative. Your journal should def be viewed by all.

Bumpy bump.

Edit:

And for God's Sake, watch out for mold this time!

Jin, I think thats why he added a dehumidifier... and 3 new wall fans.

sudynim,
thanks for all of the tips. I actually went online and made a shopping cart with what pchydro had based off your list. I printed your list and checked off what I could find. I really appreciate your help. I think I am going to stay away from soil and go with recirculating res/hydroton though. other than that, I'd like to build your system in my room which is also 10x15. I have 4x4 trays and two 1000w lights. check out my grow (sig) for more info. I would like to spend thousands but will have to build hundreds at a time. I will private message you so I don't get flamed for hijacking your journal.

here is the link for a comparable trimeter at $168. Jin found this and I'm sharing it here. http://www.home-hydroponics.co/ND1100042-Nutra-Dip-continuous-Tri-meter-pH-PPM-Temperature-ND1100042.htm
