K just to fill you guys in. I am running 2 1000w hps, and 2 600w (one mh and one hps) bulbs which are running on cooltubes. I would have got the thousands cooltubed but my $$ is a bit on the low side @ the moment. I got 24 plants bubbler systems right under my mh. The rest are all in soil. Im feeding them general hydroponics nutes using the lucas formula. Which in my humble opinion is awsome!!! The roto-gro I had just purchased off one of my close friends. He had just banged off 6lbs off one of those bad boys so I thought I would give it a go (dont worry I will be posting those pics soon). But the story behind this mid size grow is I got laid off. So I went to the bank and pulled out some savings to up my head stash until I find work again. But anywho I will be putting more pics up In a few days so you can see how im doing. Suprisingly this is like only my third grow. I think I got a green thumb or something cuz this stuff just seems way too ez. But I must be humble because anything could go wrong!!! So thats why I am here, just incase things do. I got you guys!! Thanks and until next post, happy growing!!! []Deace

Hey I just had a quick question. I want to mount my carbon filter onto my ceiling but I dont know if my studs can handle the weight. Would it be a better idea just to make a shelf in the corner and drill that into my wall studs. Or is there some kind of contraption I could put together to suspend it from the ceiling. I just dont want to wake up in the morning and see my carbon filter on the ground and a bunch of squashed plants underneath it. If anyone could help me out with this that would be great. Cuz im no carpenter! =P []Deace!

Well here is an update along with some pics I took today of my pk garden. Everything seems to be going fine. Except I got a little bit of white speckles appearing on some of the leaves. Not quite sure what it is so I am wondering if anyone could help me out with the diagnosis. Otherwise everything is looking great and in tip top condition. []Deace!

If you have "white specks" on the leaves, I would start checking for spider mites. Get yourself a jeweler's loupe or something similar and take a look at the underside of the leaves that seem to be affected. Cripes - I hope I'm wrong...such a nice grow you have going there!

My thoughts exactly!!! Thank you for the second opinion to back up my current thesis. I have been attacking them with neem oil and sm-90. Im pretty sure I got them in their early stages cuz I saw the little eggs on the undersides. I sprayed the shat out of them. You think if I keep up a daily application I can successfully combat these little fuckers?!? []Deace!

Yeah - I'm battling those little bastards myself. Last plant is still flowering, then I'm going to shut "the room" down for a week or two to engage a major attack with something a bit more caustic than neem:o. The plant I had that seemed to attract them the most was a predominant sativa...had to chop that one a tad early to keep from ruining my others, as they were all so close to harvest, I couldn't spray. That's what I get for starting them outside - brought the bugs in I guess.

After the room/equipment/grow buckets are sprayed down and cleaned, I'll be paying MUCH closer attention (changing clothes after gardening outside, etc.) to making sure dem bugs don't ruin even one more plant.:fire:

Neem seems to be the most natural way to eradicate, but it takes awhile. I've heard good things about Einstein Oil (a neem product).
Other choices are Floramite, Spinosad, and Avid. I also read somewhere that since they frequently crawl up the stem from the dirt, that you can smear either petroleum jelly or a product called Tanglefoot on the lower stalks/stem of the plant...supposedly keeps the mites from climbing up to the leaves, as they get stuck in the goo and die.

Best wishes on the grow!
