30 year old seed - help

This seed is from stock that was brought back after laying in storage for 30years. I am super excited to see how the buds are & am hoping you guys can help diagnosis what may be going on here. I did start these outdoors very late from seed half way through june.

Growth has been slow, its definitely not an over watering issue. I've always used EDNAS best organic potting soil & have never had problems with it in the past, however this year I had some extra ednas best that we use for our strawberries that is a bit 'hotter' of a soil, I only had a small amount of it which I distributed evenly across all the plants thinking that a little bit wouldn't hurt but would help come flowering stage.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: added another photo of another plant.

It looks hungry and thirsty to me.
Hey thanks for the response. I watered it two days ago & the moisture meter says its fine. Finger tests is a-ok as well.

As far as feeding goes, are you thinking anything in general? Or just an all around feed? Any thoughts on if you think there could be an issue with Magnsium or zinc?

I haven't tested my water PH here either, which I intend on doing by tomorrow, I do know its very minerally just based off of the sinks in our home.

I'd give it a dose of some good organic nutrients. Neptune's Fish and Seaweed is a good one to have on hand for a bottled nute. You can use Alaska Fish Fertilizer too, but that stuff reaks. Those are just a couple bottled nutes that would work pretty quick. I mostly just top dress with dry amendments though now.

Do you know the ppm of your tap water? And what color are the deposits it leaves on faucets? If it's white, it's probably mostly Ca. My well water has some in it, but it's not horrible.

Top dressing with EWC will help too.

The only stuff I have on hand are fox farm big bloom & black strap molasses. Do you think I should try hitting it with a combo of that?

I have tested the PPM of the tap water multiple times, I can't remember off the top of my head. I remember it being at the higher range of whats acceptable. I will do it again & get back to you. The deposits are white & plentiful.

appreciate the input :)

Hey! Thanks for the input, any additional thoughts on what makes you think that? They have only been in the soil since june & are very small plants, the soil used is good stuff with a fair balance of everything needed to grow start to finish.

That's the only Fox Farm nute I like. Hell ya, feed it Big Bloom and maybe a tiny molasses. If you could brew it for a couple days it'd be even better. Throwing some EWC in the tea would help too. You wanna get the microbes happy and active.

Give it a PROPER feed ..... either go get a dry fertilizer ( Megacrop / Dr. Earth / Happy frog Fruit and Flower ) or at least Fox Farms Gro big. It needs adequate nitrogen food source. Pale leaves cannot photosynthesis well.

Big bloom is a minor supplement ... molasses is just a simple sugar for microbial life which NEEDS Nutes to break down.
If you don’t get corrected it will stall and slow . It is basically starving.

OR ........

Go get a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest , add a scoop on top of that soil ( which is obviously deficient ) and just water in.
That soil ALONE will feed it , no measuring , no guessing ..... stupid simple.

The faded leaves, and ones on bottom are getting to be almost yellow from lack of Nitrogen, which is usually a sign that they are hungry and need more food.
Hence , feed me!

Hey hope you are having a nice day!

I decided to try a couple different approaches. I have EWC on the way, I hit some of the plants with the nutes to see how they react. I took some of the other plants and transplanted them into just straight fox farm soil & watered. Will see how they react & then adjust the approach.
