Haha wow yours grow so fast.
At a month from seed mine were at about 6".
Dont give up though, ever...
All those plants that were so small, are outdoor giants now, each 4ft tall. :)

PS: They JUST started flowering.

yes 6500k

one light is about 2 inches away, the other lights are a little further i dont know how i can get them close when they all have reflectors on them and clamps. there is nowhere to clamp them.

I have 10 plants on the go for friends. And one plant just exploded with thickness and huge leaves and they are only 3 weeks old tomorrow. I planted 23 and 10 are healthy the others I scrapped after two weeks. Mine are under the screw in CFLs at 100 watts each which I think is like 20 watts normal or something. Can anyone tell me when I can put them out in the sun? I'm in Chicago, still to chilly out I find for now but when would be good?

Your soil looks super dry in that last pic, bunique. some neutral water could do it some wonders :) Plant looks super healthy! Mine are about 3 weeks old today.
They are really short still (4 inches) but have 2 nodes each, as I topped them a few days ago.

I am also keeping them squat with some LST. SO far so good.

My branches and stems are all pretty thick already! Lots of airflow in that box of mine!

You shouldn't just go by the height of the plant only. If you top it that early that will slow growth down and most importantly what is the internode spacing. Buds form at every internode sight. The more sites the more bud. Also, lighting is a big factor, the stronger the light the more compact the plant will be with more internodes. Height + amount of internodes = plenty o bud.

Cheers
