So here is the scoop:

Plant: Nirvana White Rhino (3 Weeks in Veg mode)
PH: Waiting for newest results bust last week it was 6.7
Soil: Scotts Standard Potting Soil...no added nutrients
Nutrients: 12-0-0 Bone Meal (1 Tablespoon sifted directly into soil)
Vigoro 10-10-10 All Purpose Plant Food includes-- Potash .10%, Manganese .05%, Zinc .05% (1 Teaspoon per Gallon)
Lighting: 500W CFL lighting mix, 2700k - 6000k

Problem: Ok, so my plants lower leaves are showing splotches of yellowing and I'm getting worried. My last two grows went flawlessly. It doesn't appear to be Nute burn. I attached pics below, any help would be great. and a +1

Thank You in Advance. :joint:

LoL. Try to say that really fast. 3 week whit rhino. Ok. I want to say its the start of one of three things. One the ph is off. I keep mine in between 6.5 and 7.5 but try to stay close to 7 and mine is outdoor. Two. You could have used a bit much nutes on your last mix. Three. It could be normal but I wouldn't bet money on that.

Im going with the PH too, I think the nutes I added set it to 7.9. That's what it's reading now. Hopefully some dolemite will work. Thanks for the info +1 rep for u. ANyone else with suggestions.

I wouldn't trust that meter, if anything, stick it in your water pre-pour... That definitely looks like nute burn though, give it a week of no nutes... don't use hydroponic amounts of nutes with soil, the soil holds a lot more of it then you think... I don't use soil but when I did, I would give little nutes or nutes then several clear water days... also, use reverse osmosis water or bottled water if you aren't.

You have nice camera you should be able to get a better ph and ppm meters? The Scott's dirt could be it? you would have to water and test the first cup of run off for ph & ppm with a more reliable tester! Them you would know where you stand? The only thing that I would Trust on that meter is the moisture thing!

Good call, maybe I'll do a flush, even though I just watered it with more nutes!!!

lol. also, it looks like you stabbed that stupid meter right into your fucking plant! WTF MAN? LOL
HaHa, yeah no it's just the angle, I have it down towards the roots, because of the LST the base of the plant is not where it appears.

It was all I could find at Home Depot, I'm going to run to a Garden store in a few hours to see if I can get a better one. The dirt is fine, I used in my last two grows with great results. Good point on the mousiture part, it does read it well. But it doesn't read my Lumens correctly, so maybe the PH reading IS wrong. Thanks.

Thank You all +1 rep

I don't know where you live but i have a hydroponic store in my town, look it up, if not, you can get a real pH meter online... handheld and decent start around 40 bucks... I like hydroponics.net because it is straight forward... don't trust anything about that meter, they shouldn't even be able to sell those things.... water when it is dry 1/2 inch below the surface... lol @ moisture meter... that thing belongs in the garbage my friend. :-)

Just threw it away. Bought a soil text kit with the little capsules. I have major alkaline problems -- 8.0

No offense taken. I'm also using CFL's, plus I started LST almost immediated. If I cut those strings off it will branch out quite a bit. :)

You don't want to test your soil, you want to test and control your water supply... your pH is always going to change in the soil, because the plant drinks what it can, leaving Salts (TDS = Total Dissolved Salts)... this is why we flush with water...

so this would be the super cheap way, but retarded:

http://www.hydroponics.net/i/131697

This would be a cheap way of actually getting a real reading:

http://www.hydroponics.net/i/135738

this is what you need, because you need to control your PPM (TDS) also, not just pH, so you don't over feed the poor babies:

http://www.hydroponics.net/i/134262

this is on sale and super awesome, great deal:

http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc.asp?ic=TEMCOHAHH-6&eq=&Tp=

... next time you put a plant in a pot, put it in the middle... LST or not!

lol :peace:
