What's going on here? Bubba missing in action :???:

Hope all is well...check in soon my friend :bigjoint:
hey there! yes i have been MIA for the last week, i had to go out of town for a bit for work, i dont post from my phone because i only have a VPN on my PC :?. ive been dying to get back on. oh and BTW on a side note here, having nothing to do with our topic at hand, but none the less, very much worth mentioning. i really hope everybody is keeping a very close eye on this Ebola outbreak, be prepared to do what you need to do. take it from somebody that works in the field the CDC, WHO and NIH none of them are telling the whole truth about what is going on here at all. IMO it is currently already past the point of no real return in West Africa however; nobody seems to want to come out and tell the truth on camera. but even if u dont believe me.... the official "credible" organizations that you can look up, are saying 4 weeks until its past the point of no return. so take it from me or them its either already there or will be in 4 weeks time. even with the 3600 troops we sent to build infrastructure, it will not make a dent. unconfirmed case numbers are 3-4 times higher than what the WHO is admitting to. we WILL begin to see more pockets of infected people entering the United States, and it will not take long to overwhelm the only 13 U.S. hospitals that are currently capable of effectively containing and treating patients in a level 4 bio-containment environment. it doesn't take a scientist, unless something gives, any 6 year old can do the math here once you know how many cases there really are. Pay attention, we have not seen anything like this for many generations, if it gets out of hand it will make 1918 look like a picnic.

not to alarm anybody lol. i got that off of my chest now my duty is done here. now for the marijuana....... :weed::eyesmoke:

Wow! Such a huge change since the last time I checked your thread, very impressive....I've been wanting to ask you about your July 8th post about topping 6 times in 9 weeks so please bare with me if you don't mind. In getting so many tops, do you just top the terminal bud growth, or are you topping the lateral nodes aswell? Do you skip a node before topping again? My second scrog so I'm striving learn as much as i can from someone who obviously has his stuff together. Any topping advice you have time for I'd really appreciate. Keep up the good work
hey ron good to see you, yes i top as many times as i possibly can. its hard for me to lay out a specific technique here as different strains need different techniques. however; yes i do top terminals as well as laterals but..... i really only top laterals if they just need it to either fill in a space or if they are grown to long. early on in topping i cut em closer, not necessarily every node each time but close. i top kinda tighter early and then lighter latter on all the way up to right before the flip. i hope this makes a little bit of sense to you, its hard for me to get down in words what my brain thinks lol. but i have my clones and seedlings in 4" pots now and they will be needing their first topping here real soon, if you would like i can take pictures of where i top and post them. im sure u could see really good until they get really bushy.

Thanks for your advice, it's very much appreciated and easily understandable. I had wanted to ask that question for a long but was probably a little intimidated since you're such an experienced gardener. I've seen you tactfully handle some real doosies in this thread (you guys know which ones) so I figured I'd take a shot. Then I though "wow, chased Bubba from his own thread". Thanks for all the info you provide and the way in which you do it. I'll be watching as you go forward, good luck.

Any topping pics would be fantastic. You're a gentleman and a scholar

I'm back. I had a rough go of things for a while personally. divorce mainly as well as heat/insect issues which are hopefully now resolved. I have a fresh crop I just threw under my SCROG that Is at one week now

thank you its good to hear people are still interested in what I have going on. unfortunately I don't have quite as much free time as I used to. However I will try to post updates weekly along with pictures and try to answer as many questions as possible. please feel free to pick my brain. please feel free to pick my brain. Everything that I have going on now is in week four of veg (under my main SCROG net anyways, they were sprouted earlier tho). after the divorce I had to stop everything for a while so I lost all of my best POG phenos that I loved so much. everything in my room now is my own strains that I finished last year. so now I am back to isolating different phenotypes. I am highly optimistic about the genetics however, as you can see the family tree is fantastic. everything was bred myself down from the DNA Genetics Purple Trainwreck X OG#18 as well as Nirvanas Bubblicious. I had previously grown my strain out with very promising results last time. The phenotypes this go around should yield interesting results. saying how I did not have close to start from this time, I am less concerned with my overall yield and more concerned about selecting a new phenotype or two. I still expect 500 grams at minimal, don't get me wrong. I am most interested in selecting a nice looking well rounded phenotype with good appearance and more importantly a good smell/taste. I am confident potency will be there. Ideally I am shooting for an appearance and THC content of the POG with the aroma, taste and smoothness that the Bubblicious is famous for. I have five plants potted in 5 gallon pots right now and another that is still a 4 inch pit and its by far the most sativa out of the bunch. I might go on and put it into a larger pot just in case I get a second male. so far they all look female with the exception of one that is. soon as I get my hand on rapid rooters in two weeks I will most likely go on and make the light flip. after taking lots of clones. I will most likely only select one of the girls to carry on genetics with. possibly two if I am deeply impressed lol. I just have to make sure to take enough clones off of each plant to ensure I can fill a crop from one plant if need be.

I should mention the fact that I have not fed these girls ANYTHING at all whatsoever. all any of them have ever had is plain old un-PH'd water. I will however be giving them all one high N feeding within the next few days. should green them up just a tad and with any luck boost that veg growth so I can go on and change the light cycle. daddy is almost out of weed to smoke after all......

nets are about 70% full right now. just gave them their first feeding at just under 700 ppm at 6.2-6.3 PH. all the nutrients are the same that I was previously using. took a few clones as well as went on and treated the soil with a microzea solution. few more days to go then I will begin their next cycle.

I am so ready to move out to Colorado and join my brother. This is now the second time my crop was decimated to the ridiculous views my state has on our hobby. It's very discouraging. All of my clone work is gone, again lol. Oh well. The good fight is worth it IMHO. Rather go to jail and set an example to stand up for what's right for the sake of my family and every one else labeled a "criminal". So yeah. I did however manage to keep my strain I worked so hard on. As everyone knows I had been fascinated by the DNA OG18 Purple Trainwreck along with my first love, Bubblicious by Nirvana. After sifting for different traits and hundreds of seeds I finally ended up with something relatively genetically stable, much to my surprise, and very well rounded. So thank god I still had that to keep me occupied. I have started my strain along with a couple older but new to me strains. One is a Blue Widow I was sent to try and never got to along with THC Bomb. I grew it years ago but didn't come out as good as I know it could. So it's a good mix that in theory should flower all about the same rate so long as I get rid of any phenos that are too sativa dominant.

Hahaha thank youttystikk! Long time no see! I tell u it's great to be back on here and getting setup to do what I love doing again. There things in the works atm that may make it possible to return to commercial growing. Fingers crossed I can get all the details worked out, I would love to build a professional garden right here on RIU. I have been itching to get back into a garden and make an honest living doing what I know and love. I am definitely going to incorporate everything I have learned with this SCROG and apply some more more laborious more advanced training techniques in order to maximize my cost per yield. As with the legal cannabis game goes it's all in your margins because the competition will eat away any of the fat we had been used to making.
