3 plants in a 2.3 x 2.3 grow tent

Hi there,

I am a new grower and just starting to learn all the ins and outs about growing cannabis. I started growing 2 plants at first. One GDP( GrandDaddy Purple) and One (Pineapple Express Sativa Dom.) (both of these seeds are Photoperiods and Feminized). All the seeds were purchased from Growerschoiceseeds.com which i do recommend. My grow setup is as follows:

Grow Tent: Marshydro 2.3 x 2.3 x 5.25
Grow Light: MarsHydro TS1000 (150w from wall) LED QB grow light - currently running at 45%
Ventilation: AC Infinity Cloudline T4 Inline (CFM 205) Exhaust Fan w/ Carbon Air Filter, 2 Clip on Oscillating Fans. 1 below the canopy and 1 above running on low. Also using the bottom mesh vents to supply passive air intake.
Water: Currently using Distilled Water - no added nutrients yet.
Humidifier and small space heater to control temp and RH.

So now that you know my setup here's the deal... I germinated both seeds at the same time using the paper towel method. GDP was faster at developing a taproot then PE but i did wait for PE to develop a better taproot and then I planted both germinated seeds in solo cups (growing in soil) with the following ratio: 20% Perlite, 20% FFOF, and 60% Fox Farm Light Warrior. After 2 days the GDP sprouted from the soil and seems to be doing just fine. the PE sprouted after the 3rd day but it looked like it was growing in a horizontal fashion and the seed was showing. So since I was afraid it wasn't growing correctly I gently maneuvered the seed to the correct orientation and covered with soil ( I used sterilized tweezers) and then put it back into the tent. Since I was a little bit paranoid I thought that I may have killed the gentle seedling. So I started germinating a 2nd one to replace it just in case it did die. So it turns out it did not die and sprouted fine just like GDP did which I was happy about. The problem is that the 2nd PE seed has already started to develop a taproot and I did not want to toss it because that's wasting money which I will not do. Once the taproot was healthy enough I planted it in soil using the same ratio as the others.

My dilemma is I do not have a lot of space to work with and now I have 3 plants in a tiny space. Will it still be possible to produce a decent yield (an oz. or more) from each of these 3 plants using the above setup and using LST and SCRog for training, or do I need to upgrade to the TSW2000 grow light, the 3x3 mars hydro grow tent. or both?

At the time of writing this the GDP and PE#1 are 6 days old from Germination and PE#2 is 1 day old from Germination.

Thank you for your time and advice and Happy Growing to all :)

P.S: OH i did forget to mention that i am planning to transplant when the time right into 3Gal Fabric Pots is that still good for the yield I want to produce or do you think i will run out of space and i should just use 1Gal Fabric Pots?

Really? you don't think any upgrades will be necessary to achieve those numbers?
No, my first grow was 8x 42w CFL bulbs in a 2x2x5 tent, pulled nearly 5oz in a SCROG. The only thing I’d be concerned about is stretch. The more sativa dom plants will stretch more and possibly overgrow your tent. I would put the GDP at the front where you can control it, and try to wrangle the other plants to the rest of the space

You definitely will get 4-8oz if you scrog and done correctly with that set up .
I would recommend a stronger light if anything but besides that all sounds ok

that's an awesome yield for what you had at the time nice job. I appreciate the advice greatly I was afraid I would have reduced my potential yields with the amount of plants and lack of space i have available. Do you think the TS1000 will provide enough light at 100% for all 3 plants when they start the flowering and bloom phase?

You should be ok since they are photoperiod. You can flip them when you are ready. I recommend letting them grow to about 14" from the soil then flip. I wouldn't top them, because that would promote bushier growth which you won't have space for. I have the same set up.. with 3 plants, but 2 of them are small/not taking up a lot of space. Plus the 2 small ones are auto clones. They will be out of the tent soon enough, so the photoperiod plant in there can have all the space to flower. Check out my journal in the link below this. You will see my 3 plants in the same tent and light.

I would do a mach fitting.. as in put 3x saucers the size you plan on upgrading to and make sure they all fit without touching the walls. Remember you will need room for a fan to be blowing under the canopy, so it may need floor space as well.

I have 2 oscillating fans one above and one below he canopy. Do you think that is enough or do i need more?

I fit 3 autos in a 3x2, under an sf2000, I use airpots and promix bx, and hit over a pound every ten weeks
that is nuts! and those buds look amazing! I heard airpots are better than fabric, but i am gonna stick with fabric for this grow and if its sucessfull i will experiment with air pots next grow. Is that a pound total or a pound per plant?

Just remember you have some control over the size and height of the plant with your light height, trimming, veg time and flip.
Slam the lights down on those babies and keep them squat.
Right now 2 are 6 days old from germination and the light is at 20" from soil @ 45% intensity. I did have it at 18" from soil @ 75% intensity but one the leaves developed some light burn so that's why i readjusted.

Off those 3 I pulled just over 500g, was like 510, and I don't care about the little popcorn buds all that went into the trim bag and didn't even weigh before I froze it, so would of been more, I know some don't like advanced nutrients but, they have proven results,

Sorry, I didn't mean right away.
Once they are established.
