My understanding is that they were selling to people without cards. If they were, then thats against the law & is not helping our cause here in Michigan. We are trying to establish something thats LEGAL !! Yeah I know, growing is fun & a lot of us
have been soing it for a long time, but... Thats not the issue here. The issue is, until this all gets sorted out & there are no longer any gray areas, we all have to watch our asses to make sure that we aren't the giunea pig. Personally, I have 2 patients & one of them was taking almost 200 Norco's a month until, I started making oil & GIVING not selling it to him. He's down to about 50 a month now & actually gets some sleep. His wife tells me that this is the most sleep he's gotten at one time in years. Makes me feel good.
Bravo for you.... Your a good man......

There is a large article in the Oakland Press about the raids, but I can't find it on their website. Generally, I think the support is on the side of the compassion clubs. This one is gonna be long and drawn out.

you guys are so quick to attack the dispensary like they are doing something wrong....If they did something wrong is actually barely even debatable, it is said that they checked everyones paperwork every single visit and even the mayor of this town says they operated within the law.

If you really study this incident it is clear to me that these cops are essentially trying to fight the law and challenge it in court. They raided every dispensary that they had the authority to raid regardless of any laws/rules being broken.

Example: Even thou the law clearly states patient to patient transfers are legal - they are trying to challenge that.

Yes as homegrowers on a site for homegrowers ofcourse we all hate the dispensarys and their seemingly outrageous prices in our eyes but the fact is they are running a business and providing a service to the community which is infact valuable to some people. In my research on this dispensary I discovered that the #'s quoted in news articles are results of the journalist adding up the cost of 1 gram (thats where he came to the 500$-700$) but this place supposably sold full ounces for much less. (200$ to 500$ with 300$-400$ being typical always in stock type stuff)

This is clearly an attack on our medical marijuana laws - It is not an attack on some criminals or theives - these are law abiding people. If your on the cops side than you are no better than a prohibitionist and likely a hypocrit if you smoke weed or grow weed yourself.

I went to a meet and greet the politican when Bouchard was still running for governor. He spouted how he up holds the laws and that MMJ was now the law and he would uphold it. Liar.

He, also, said that the law needed to be changed. Thank god, he isn't still running for governor.

We need to stay informed this election season and vote this November.

i have my doubts that clinical relief sold to any non patient. maybe, but from the articles i read, many of the facts were blown way out of propotion.

example, they said clinical relief sold oz for 5-700 bucks, when they were all 480
they said they carried 15-20 strains, when they only carry 8, not all that important, but who knows what else is bullshit.

i could see an undercover going in with convincing paperwork that is technically not valid yet looks good, and the old lady checking the id's just didnt know any better, and boom, thats what they need for a raid.

"I dont think this is what the michigan people voted for" (paraphrasing)

So by this guys logic......lets say hes right...lets say 33% of the people that voted for medical marijuana did so without actually reading the law....even in that scenario we still would of had enough votes for the law to pass..

Full blown legilization, lets put that up for a vote and see what happens Mr Sherrif guy..your in the minority if you really are against it - and with Marijuana being Illegal I am afraid michigan is more of a Cheech & Chong movie than if it was legal, has this guy even watched Cheech & Chong?

I don't know if you have heard but marijuana is not just for people on their deathbed, its beneficial to the human race for much more than that, and yes that includes "stomach aches and shoulder pains". Educate yourself on the safest most theraputic and healing drug on this planet.

"We apologize to our patients for not being able to provide for the uninterrupted supply of medical marijuana. We will be open today to provide medication and answer patients questions."

Great! I thought the court order stopped that. Another reason to have a good lawyer.

oh and also, all we know is that the undercovers didnt present them with proper credentials im assuming that means the card, they probably had fake paperwork. read the fine print, the media has to make it look like the raid was indeed warranted.
And why do you believe the media would do that? Since when does the media turn the other cheek when they have a chance to bust corruption. You are either paranoid or a conspiracy theorist.

You are also misinterpreting the laws. A qualifying eligible patient is one that has a card and has identified a caregiver. They can't get their meds anywhere else according to the law I'm reading. How are you able to interpret that differently?

i'm not on the cops side, but I'm on the side that fights corruption of these laws and weeds out dispensaries that make huge profits and undermine the law. Their actions will ruin it for everyone. In fact, here in Florida, our drug czar is already pointing to these busts as proof the MMJ laws won't work in Florida. To all the fucked up drug dealers posing as medical dispensaries, thanks a fucking lot....
