2x 90w UFO LEDs

Will these be powerful enough from seed to finish?

depends on what your expectations are.

they would be about the same as CFL's in my opinion.

Well I was reading the Elite MJ Growing Guide because I decided to grow indoors for the first time. He states that 1x 90W LED is equivalent to a 400w HPS light. Not sure how accurate it is in terms of yield.

what is your budget and waht size space and we'll be glad to steer you in a better direction

Them 90 watt ufo's only actually draw like 50 watts so two would be around 100 watts. So no where near the same as a 400w hps if it were me I'd go with the hps cause cfls put off almost as much heat

I actually already have the 2 90w LEDs. They're hand-me-downs, however after checking with the designer, each puts off 150w. So 300 total which is still less than expected.

I'll give these a shot for my first indoor grow and will move to hps next grow for sure.

I have a 2x2.5x5'8 tent. What size hps works well for this? Was planning between 400 and 600.

Edit: AFAIK the guy I bought them from designed and built them, so he says. What can I use to actually test the watts from 1 of these?

if they are 150 w each, 2 would be perfect.

a good rule is 50 watts/sq foot. you have 5 sq ft so 250 watts would be waht you are looking for.
if you put a 400hps in there, you'll have to air cool it to keep temps down.

i'd try a grow with the leds you got and see what happens
