A little back ground on me to help get things rolling. I am a United States Air Force Veteran, Honorably Discharged (86-91), and I am on a non service connected disability pension. I have been using cannabis for three years to treat Depression and the chronic ever changing pain levels of Degenerative Disc Disease. Prior to that I was taking the opioid meds the VA doctor prescribed. The medicines took the pain away, but at a great physical cost. Constipation, lack of sleep, lack of appetite due to being constipated ,or just nauseous from the meds. I gained weight, which put more stress on an already fragile frame. After 15 years I said "enough". I went and saw a specialist and received a recommendation for medicinal cannabis in California. When the VA did my yearly exam they noticed the THC, I showed them my recommendation, and this I think saved me, they canceled my opioid med. Since then , three years ago, I dove into the science of Cannabis and the history of it as well. I am not an expert, just a guy who found a better way, that was there all along, waiting to free me, and give me back my life..

Thanks Bleedmaize, and SupaM. Welcome to my mother room journal. I have been busy with this years harvest, when i close my eyes all i see is cannabis leaves and nugs. My Omrita Rx3 x Peruvian is right on schedule, her buds are dying off, and new growth is sprouting from the trunk. The Phantom (Cherry Pie x GDP) ,Blue Cheese x GDP, and Omrita Rx3, are fresh clones from Harborside, the rest has flowered this season and is now going through the re veg process.

Some pictures of the mother room, my plants, and some of the products in use. the second plant from the right is getting pulled, she has not flipped fully, and new leaves die off, so i think she is done. i am moving her to the outer perimeter of the lights, just in case the direct light was too much. In her place will be Omrita rx3, but that's for tomorrow. DSCF0002.jpg DSCF0026.jpg.

Strains Grown this year are as follows, most are my crosses from last year. I have left some buds on to see what they look like super ripe.
Female listed first in crosses
Seed my cross Romulan x Sour D. , she's a keeper, and is very effective for pain and mood. Looking forward to the cure and its effects.
Seed my cross Strawberry Cough x Sour D. , damn girl, sweet and skunky, this one will get you funky, and your butt will want to move.
Seed my cross Hash Plant / G13 x Sour D (my Purple Fairy), she turned purple, but later than i like for Oakland's climate, she is potent. She did give me veragated leaves, but the flowers needed longer.
Seed Durban Poison, always a winner, but the buds for me are too light and airy.
Seed my cross Durban Poison x Sour D. now we're talkin! This one is a winner as well. Sweet anise and bubblegum smell combined with a denser nug, closer nodes ,and more branching.
Seed my cross Peruvian #2 x Sour D. Damn ! Another stellar cross of a land-race with a proven stable winner.
Seed Sour D, always one of my faves, and does not disappoint.
Seed my cross Omrita Rx 3 x Peruvian #2, very stoney and lemony, a shorter bush than the Peruvian, closer nodes, denser nugs, oh yeah!
Seed my cross, Blue Dream x Sour D , this one smells like cheese, and i love cheese.
Clone Super Lemon Haze , in a pot ,she got pulled near the end, she was a small plant and had a spider-mite infestation. This was three weeks after stopping the SNS systemic treatment and at the height of a heat wave.
Clone Blue Berry, nuf said.
Clone The White, eh, had mold problems near the end, none of my other plants did. The buds that were harvested proved to be decent and stoney. But the mold issue puts her out.
Clone Ogre, holy shit balls, one of the most narcotic of the group, great pain killer and mood lifter.
Clone Omrita Rx 3 ,she is always in my grow from now on.
Clone ACDC , this plant is not a normal cannabis or hemp like plant. This one vines out like a tomato plant. The buds are very open and airy, and covered in trics. She is also very bushy and put out a bunch of leaves. At 20 % CBD she is a keeper.
Papaya, not impressed with the size.
This had been my best year to date, 5 lbs of nugs and 13 lbs of trim. The mother room will help make next year easier, only females will be in the outdoor garden. Males will be grown separate and pollen collected from the chosen weed studs. My crop will be pollenated after much of the harvest is done and small nugs remain on the plants chosen for seed bearing. this will allow me to have buds and seeds.

Hey its been a while. I had a few life things to take care of, and while that happened a plague a fungus gnats descended on my ladies soil and proceeded to copulate . I tried a "natural" bug killer and i think it seriously harmed my GDP x Blue Cheese I have 32 cuttings from her before she started giving up. I have placed her outdoors along with the rest of the soil based plants that had gnats.. I then bought and used SNS 209, Bam! killed the bugs ded! Bought and set up a DWC system 4 5 gallon buckets 6" net pots. New clones (gnat and pest free)Candyland, Blueberry Haze, OG Kush and ACDC. I have 3 cuttings from my original ACDC (branches that broke during moving outdoors) and 4 from Omrita Rx3. I used some SNS HydroBiotics and some SNS 604A , temp is 61f, ph is 6.5, ppm 440 (as per my tri-meter). Soon I will be giving them the 1st feeding of Blue Planet Nutrients.

Damn dwc, well. I gave it a try. Algae build up and necrosis of the Kush made me sad, but i got on the ball. now have things well in hand. I am going back to soil for this seasons crop, after i get them in the ground, i will tinker with one or two 5 gallon buckets till i get the level of skills required to pull off what I wanted dwc style.
Here are some pictures of my seedlings and clones that survived the dwc.

All right, back in the swing of it. Switched back to "soil" for me medium, dealt with more gnats by treating with SNS . Moved the regular seed plants outside for sexing. The clones and feminized plants will remain indoors for more veg time.

Indoor ,before separating the regulars from the clones and feminized

Indoor after separation , the 5 on the left are clones, the rest are from feminized seed.

Outdoor , regular seed plants , many varieties , list to follow.
