they may have not been his plants but, it does answer the question of "does pot size reallt matter"
I checked out his links, I guess he's legit.

Idk how much pot size matters, it might matter a lot. I've got mine growing in the ground and that is a pretty much unlimited pot size; make of it what you will, but I don't have trees, lol. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... probably.

So what you think a normal yeild would be from a 10-15 gallon pot? You think I could get a half lb? From each?
10-15 Gallon pot, if done right... can yield up to 2 lbs MAX, but should at least get a lb.... definitely depending on Strain, Grower, Conditions, Season, and soil/nutes.

I live in Cali about 2 hours north of La and I'm growing amnisa, cheese, spicy white devil and a la woman/master kush mix the la woman are seeds and the rest are clones. I have photos of them in my journal let

Im not a fan of the "pots" your using, especially when it looks as though you could have put them in the ground... I think they look... burdened, but strong healthy like plants ;) your on track to get a harvest.... but they would be happier in the ground.

I have some in the ground and some in pots and honestly the pots in my opinion are doing better thus far. You think the ones in pots look stressed?

And the natural soil is made up of alot of clay n I didn't have the funds to put All in the ground. I believe that there all doing great tho I don't think the ones in the ground are doing better or worse there all growing at pretty much the same rate in pots and in the ground..

I have heavy clay in my area too and the plants are doing just fine. Just gotta break up the clay so the water can penetrate.

I tried to mix in some vermiculite, but it really didn't do a damn thing, LMAO.
I just broke it up and turned it a couple of times so it could dry out. You know those clay pellets you can buy for hydro? It turned into that just golf ball and baseball sized.
My clay is really hard and sticky, so you can't really mix anything into it.

All of my plants are in clayish soil, but the one I'm pointing out to you is in very clayish clay.

Now that I think about it, I think a fair amount of grass and straw got mixed into the clay soil when I turned it, so that might be something you could look into adding to a soil with high clay content. In fact, I think that is an amazing idea. I will have to do that again next time too.

In the clay soil THIS became THIS.

I put mine in clay ground with hardly any spoil.. they do better than they would in a lil ass pot trust me.. theres nutes in the clay and it holds water so your plants wont dry out so quick.. nothing but positives in my veiw

the clay works well. awesome for water retention. although the drawback i am noticing this year is that they dont blow up as much. using black gold or roots organic without native is a huge difference. im thinking next year doing 1/5 native and the rest potting soil. results are unbelieveable. still will use native as i feel there is microorganisms in the native soil that the plants should benefit from as they are in the micro climate that you live in.
