the autos are chopped, dried and curing. I took them all at 80 ish days. They looked awful but they taste nice and are decently potent at dry. 20230306_121849.jpg
The Strawberry Cough is coming down 3/7/23 (tomorrow). It's at about day 102. I'm going to let the C99 x Kali Mist go another week or so.

Man my NL1 did that, a lot of Amber & clear but almost no milky trichs. Wonder what's up with that.

I took mine down, vapes just fine.

Quick pre-cure run down. Been in jar about a week at 64% RH
Strawberry Cough: Sweet smell. Very little flavor. Very potent.
Sour Crack: Herby/garlic smell. Sweet diesel flavor. Moderately potent.
Toof Decay x Walter White: Citrussy smell. Buttery/creamy flavor. Extremely potent.
C99 x Kali Mist: still flowering.

I speed read your diary and really enjoyed it. You should have a nice stash with a lot of variety, which is always nice.
I can appreciate your commitment to not harvesting early and letting a plant finish. I’m from the same school of thought and hate to see growers chopping plants that could benefit from more time.
That said, I’ve been guilty of waiting too long. Several times actually I’ve waited and waited, usually for the perfect mix of trichomes, only to have that mix never appear. What’s worse is the buds lost a lot of their aroma and were def not as sticky as a couple weeks earlier.
I couldn’t help but wonder if the same thing was happening here. I took notice when u were describing one of the plants in the last week or so and indicated it didn’t really have much smell. Did the nose come back after dry & cure?
I’ve come to realize that there will always be some percentage of clear trichs. Judging ripeness from trich ratios is a moving target IMO.
Many years ago when I grew outside up until 5-5 yrs ago when I jumped in the indoor game, I would never think of chopping a healthy plant that had any white pistils showing.
But more recently I’ve backed away from that absolute blanket policy and believe there are situations where the buds can be ripe and still yet have a few white pistils.
Anyway, I hate to ramble and would like to hear about your finished product. More specifically if the buds that had lost their smell ever got it back.
Thanks again for sharing your grow…I really did enjoy it.

Great questions and thank you for reading and interacting. The Strawberry Cough was the one that kind of lost its smell. After drying, some of it has a nice berry smell and some of it is hay-like, but it's very potent. The Mephisto Sour Crack smells and tastes the best of the ones I harvested so far, but the effect is moderate. I'll report again after they have been curing a few weeks. Now that I have taken plants so far I can experiment with pulling them earlier. I too am curious about the same thing. I also think that the length of flower in my case has a lot to do with the plants encountering issues.

The ones I harvested have been curing about 2 weeks.
Sour Crack smells and tastes best but lowest potency.
Toof Decay X Walter White smells hayish but creamy if that makes sense, but has a pleasant lemony taste when smoked. The potency is higher than the Sour Crack but still average.
Strawberry Cough I lost almost all the smell. Some parts of the plant retained a berryish odor. Very potent.

I chopped the C99 X Kali Mist today at day 118 of flower. There were still some clear trichs, but the test branch I cut and dried last week has a nice effect so it will be good for me.

The next one is about to go into its 2nd month of flower and smells amazing. Supercropping kept her short but opened up more bud sites. I haven't calculated how long, but I vegged this longer than I ever have a plant and I noticed it stacks better than it did the first time I grew it from seed and flipped it very early.

The stuff that has been curing for a while has improved greatly. The smell isn't amazing but has improved. They all get me very high. The mystery bagseed is doing great and the pistils are just starting to turn.

Mystery weed turned purplish and I started another Bruce Banner Auto because the last one was a monster. I hope this one is, too.

Monster Bruce Banner I found the seed in in the thumbnail.

The mystery plant will be done in about a week or two. I feel like I don't have to guess at all with her.

the auto is an aggressive grower just like the plant she came from

The auto is growing like a freak alien just like her sister mom. I might transplant it to a 10 gallon to flower.

The mystery photo is still 2-3 weeks out

The mystery bag seed could probably be taken any time but I am going to wait a week or so until the pistils are all orange and the buds swell more. This is the first time I have ever seen trichomes readyish in 8 weeks so I know it's possible now.

I topped the auto. It's throwing pistils already. It's going to stretch for about 3 weeks so I'll probably super crop it a little.

I've been slacking on this journal, but, I topped and lollipopped the auto and the purple plant in curing. The mystery purple is the best smelling plant I have grown so far.
