looking forward to pics. checkout my journal, 20 days till harvest :D
checked out your grow, actually, a few weeks ago, but it looked like you had abandoned it. anyway, good to see your crop thriving. is there only 4 left? eager to know what your dry, harvest weight is.

not as eager as me!.

yeah only 4 left, considering they were none feminized seeds and i planted 5, i was actually pretty lucky to get 4 fems.

id be happy with anything over 100g dry, but only time will tell!.

old crop update: still going. 2 plants struggling, 2 doing OK.

some pics of the new crop.
all Mazar's doing fine, one is a little stretched.
LR2's, 2 are runts, but looking fine.
LR2's and M's are under the 500w MV, for now. the old crop is under the 400w HPS.

I'm planning to make a higher table for the LR2 & M, all plant tops will be an even height. then I'll make the lights even so all plants will get a mix of light.

these damn lights are just so damn hot! I'm afraid of burning these young ones...

I'm not real sure about the date...23 sounds good, lol.

lost one LR2, 6 left...and 3 Mazar.
still going on the old crop. they're looking much better than before.

not sure whats up, but my LR2's are getting pretty tall. 2 tallest are about 30cm, shortest LR2's are about 6cm, lol. Mazars are all about the same size, but one is much taller, @30cm, the others are about 20cm.

one of the LR2's is definately a female. two are showing signs of being male, I think I'll pick off the balls and hope for less than huge quantities of seeds!

well, there are only 4 plants left of the original crop. and I'm pretty sure the very best one is male or hermie! gonna let it finish the time, at least, cut it when the others are cut. I picked all its balls off, there weren't very many. hope that will eliminate or reduce seeds.
pretty sure those 2 LR2's are males too. I picked their balls off also.
it's a little too early to tell with the Mazar's since they aren't autos, but I strongly suspect one, two even, are males...SHIT!
that would cut my new crop from 9 to 5, 4 of which are LR2 and their yield is not great and they're all in flowering now so I gotta finish.
I doubt I'll even get 100g from 5 plants and a total of 6 months work!

depressed now...the crop isn't doing so hot atm.
old crop: only two left, cut a male out...tried to pick his balls off so I could use him for honey oil,
but got worried about too many seeds. and one just withered, yellowed, then died.

new crop: 5 of 9 left. 1 Mazar, 4 LR2's, and not sure all LR2's are fem.
one LR2 is in full flower with about 8-10 nice, knuckle sized buds.
another is just really starting, only budding at the very top site, atm.
two more are real runts. the Mazar is the 2nd nicest of the new crop.
will post pics tomorrow.

ok, the 500w MV is gone. replaced it with 400w MH. I can run a 360w HPS with this ballast. in the future, I'll swap the MH for another HPS during the last half of the flowering stage. would be something like this:

400w MH during seedling and first few weeks of veg stage. then add the 400w HPS after a few weeks veg, run it until harvest. then swap the MH for a 360w HPS about 3-4 wks into flowering...until harvest.

these are the bulbs:
1 400w MH, luminous flux 26,500lm, color temp. 6500k, ra 90. uncoated bulb.

1 400w HPS, luminous flux 23,000lm, color temp. 2500, ra 90. coated bulb (could have gotten an extra 1000lm uncoated, didn't know att).

1 360w HPS, luminous flux 47,500lm, color temp. 2,100, ra 25, uncoated bulb.

I'm just going for lumens and color here, should get some real dense buds!

good news, just recieved my second order of seeds from Marijuana-seeds.NL.

I got:

10 feminized Medi-bud
10 Mango
10 THC Bomb
40 Jack Herer (paid for 20, 'buy one, get one free')
and
10 Super Silver Haze (5+5 free seeds, 2 orders)

total cost: about $290 USD
w/ stealth packing.
looks like I won't need to order any seeds for awhile!

final result for LR2 2 plants survived...got about 3 grams from one, lol. the other is about 3 inches tall and has a tiny bud on the top.
I'm only keeping it going out of curiosity...will that bud finish. one gram bud, lol
the free Mazar is only one plant left...of the five free seeds, 4 germinated, 3 were males.
the Mazar looks ok. it's 7 wks old, 6 wks flowering. I'll let it finish, but....
got more seeds and I'm off to refine my growing technic. it really needs it, lol.

next post in this thread will be the last, after the Mazar finishes, I'll post harvest results.

toss the bs lites.the 400 hps is more than capable.check my journal on here.got 3 going.they all started flowering day 16. im on day 36,2 of them are ft tall bushes & the 3rd is a 27"(grew 8"in 5 days) tall monster all were topped heavily at the end of the 2nd wk & now have bud sites everywhere.my big one has 64 bud sites. i use ff ocean forest & a little ff tiger bloom, tap water,18"from lite,17/7 first 30 days, now 16/8.thats all it takes.L2s dont need a lot of nutes so use a 'hot'soil & leave it alone.if you think it cant be that easy check the pix of my bud covered 36 day old L2s.less is more w/everything but the lite.they dont need all the extra time of light THEY NEED EXTREME LIGHT INTENSITY. this plant goes thru the same photosythesis & internal processes as a reg strain that takes twice as long.It will use the same amount of light to do the same amount of photosythesis, but doing it in half the time means you really want alot of lumens really close to the plant.
