2ND Grow: Love Potion, and Afghani #1 / MEDICAL

My last grow went terribly wrong, I had decided to step it up to a 600WATT HPS in my 5ft 11 x 2'7 x 2'7 and couldn't figure out my heat, and lost a full plant, and didn't end up even getting any nugs, everything was just totally burnt to a crisp, so i cut it down two weeks early and just ran it all...So i research a little more and decided that i wasn't even going to go for another HID in a lower wattage. I went out and traded two of my old feliz CFL's for a Sunblaze 2ft 8 tube fluro HO, and put in a mixed spectrum of 65k and 27k bulbs. Last night was first night of flowering, hopefully this goes better. My temps are phenomenal at 73-78, instead of with my 600w they were pushing anywhere from 76-110 daily even with an 8 inch exhaust. So this is an experiment for me since i have never flowered with fluorescent lighting before, hoping that the 16000 lumens will be enough, and if it works then my shit is dialed. I've given them a quarter strength of both the sensi bloom and sensi grow two parts starting to ween them off of the nitrogen slowly. Also my plants last time were about 5'7 and there were three of them, the plants this time are incredibly smaller at about 4 ft, and theres only two.

the burns on the plants are from when they were in my veg area before i had cleaned out my tent, they were to large and rubbing on my cfl's getting burned.

Dam those plants are really tall for growing with florescent lighting. You want to keep them short and bushy with more width than height, this lets more light to the tops and the buds since florescent lighting as a really short usable range. That 2 ft fixture IME will not be enough to get a good harvest an 8 bulb 4 ft fixture will be much much better then use the 2 ft for side lighting. Get in there and trim up the plants, remove all inner fan leaves and leave the outers, remove all smaller lower branches and bud sites so the plant will send the energy to the main tops, you will get more larger top buds and less smaller popcorn buds. Get some Bontanicare 0-0-1 sweets like Raw or Original Berry and Cyco Potash and Swell they will help increase smell, taste and yield. Ancient Amber IMO is not needed when using a good veg nute, I really dont like the Budda nute line, it is really pricey and grows I have seen using it have lesser results and others I have seen using cheaper nutes.

word man! ya i cleaned up the bottoms of the plants alot one of them more than than the other. But i guess i should thin them out a bit more to. I wish i could fit a 4ft fixture in my tent, but the 2 ft fits just perfectly. I mean isn't the need like 5,000 lumens per sq. ft. or something? This fixture has 16000. But i also am aware that it is not an HID lighting system like the 600watt HPS I have, so the plant doesn't feed off the light nearly enough. I am probably going to add the Big Bud to my nutrient line, and I forgot to add that i'm using blossom rocket for the first 3 weeks, and when i said ancient amber i mean just the Amino Aide, i only use the amber for veg. I think the bud candy IMO is very similiar to the Raw or the original berry for flavor and the Big Bud and Blossom Rocket paired together will hopefully create more bud sites and about 30% larger buds.

a little update so were on day 10 of flowering! wooo and we have pistils! I gave them about a week to take into the new pots before turning them to flower, but it seems that even after 10 days into flower its still taking about a week before i need to water again.

as you can tell on the 4th pic i have a spider mite problem that isn't going away. its shitty. i spray them with a mixture of take down, sm-90, and alcohol. if anyone else has any ideas let me know! and has anyone used liquid ladybug? and know if its okay during flower?

shit so I just am realizing that I have a really bad PH problem and its locking out my phosphorous intake, and i'm 3 weeks into flower. How to fix?
