2nd grow is underway:

Re-used FFOF + mykos + perlite + Dr. Earth Fert
ES 300
5gal fabric pots
4 OG Kush fem from Nirvana
2.5x5x6.5 tent

First grow tried the manifold/lollipop method with 8 main colas and 5 plants. Successful 1st time experience but wanted to better utilize my light and grow space so plan is to scrog these 4 plants and veg them till the screen is 75% full. Plants are about 9 inches tall currently and gonna throw the screen up once they reach a foot or so tall.

6/29: Soaked 4 OGK seeds in brita water overnight

Day 1 Soil - 6/30: White tap root beginning to show, transferred to solo cups that had been prepped/moistened, FFLW + Mykos

7/1 – 7/7: Kept medium moist with spray bottle…in hindsight, probably too moist as algae did develop a little bit on the top part of the medium. I didn’t drown them like the first grow resulting in browning on leaves that ultimately had to be pruned so progress but I’m learning that seedlings don’t need much water at all to survive and develop to veg.

Day 8 Soil – 7/8: Watered w/ BH, RJ, Kelp BD till runoff and solo cups felt saturated

Day 12 Soil – 7/12: Watered w/ RJ, CM till runoff

Day 13 Soil – 7/13: #3 = 3.5 inches tall, #4 = 3.25 inches tall (3 nodes). #1, #2 lagging in development

Day 14 Soil – 7/14: Topped #3,4 around 11:30am

Day 15 Soil – 7/15: Watered #3,4 RJ + CM. #1,2 still have heavy cups with moisture at top so no need to water

Day 1 Veg ? – 7/17: Transplant day. Watered with BH, RJ, CM. Poked a bunch of holes in the soil for aeration as fabric pots had been pre-watered prior to transplant.

Day 3 Veg – 7/20: #1 = 3.5 inches tall, #2 = 3.5 inches tall, #3,4 = 6.5 inches tall

Day 5 Veg – 7/22: Watered outside zone of fabric pots (32oz, ph 6.5) in hopes of drawing roots toward outer edge of pot. 4 days since last watering, pots still relatively heavy, plan is to try to keep the top of the medium moist while allowing the rest of the pot to dry out. Does the upper most part of the medium need to remain moist to keep the microbiology in the topsoil alive?

Day 7 Veg – 7/24: Sprayed top part of soil with approx ½ Liter water ph 6.8 before lights on…very warm day on 7/23 and very warm day forecast today. Medium was dry down to my first knuckle so didn’t want the girls struggling with the extra heat today.

IMG_3376.JPG IMG_3375.JPG IMG_3373.JPG

Day 9 Veg – 7/26: Sprayed top of medium with approx. ½ liter of water before lights on. Medium was dry down to big knuckle and day time temps have been hot so not worried about over watering. Soil moisture meter reads on ‘wet’ level half way down the pot and at bottom of pot.

Pots feel like they’re drying out still from being saturated with water prior to transplant (I can tell they are lighter than on 7/20 even though moisture meter still shows wet). Daytime temps for past 2 days = 90F, 50 RH. Night time 78F, 65-70 RH.

Me too! Any idea how tall these ladies will get? I think I found of Leafly that OG typically reaches 4ft but not sure if thats accurate.

Forgot to mention that comments and feedback are welcome.

Not really sure about your seeds man but usually og is pretty stretchy so u can probably just put a nice net around them and bend there tops, easy money! good luck...

Day 10 Veg – 7/27: Plants looked less than 100% after 5 hours lights on so figured they must be thirsty from the higher than normal day time temps (85F and above). Sprayed top of medium with pump sprayer with nozzle while rotating pot around 12pm. Nozzle helps to disperse the water and not compact soil compared to my other water methods and can still be used while plants are in scrog.

It appears like 1 liter sprayed on the top of the medium created 3-4 inch moist patch around the outside of the fabric pot. Also aerated pots after watering to ensure water and oxygen get to the roots. Avoiding soaking the pots until I know the bottom part of the soil has dried out sufficiently. Plants look perkier hours after watering.

Day 12 Veg – 7/29: Plants weren’t perky after lights on 4 hours so I decided to water them 2L BH, BD, CM around 11:30am. Leaves also appear to be papery (lacking water) and slightly folding up almost like heat burn.
The new growth stems on leaves seems to be flimsy, light green, and pliable so thinking this may be due to OGK increased requirements of Ca and Mg. Curious to see response after watering…plants perked up with water, appears like cal-mag is working on stems.

Day 14 Veg – 7/31: Checked on plants in morning before lights how to see if they have grown into the scrog net and to also check soil moisture level…
After 2L of water on 7/29, topsoil of medium still has moisture and need to wait another day before seeing if the girls require water.

Day 15 Veg – 8/1: Gave the girls 2L of water with ¼ BioGrow + CM. Starting 1-2-1-2 water schedule…

Day 17 Veg – 8/3: Did some defoliation and LST. Girls all have 10+grow nodes after toping a couple times on each plant up to this point in the grow.

Day 18 Veg – 8/4: Watered each girl 2L, very low concentration of BG, CM leftover from last watering PH 7.04. Pre-mixed nutes for next feeding…15ml BG, 20ml BD, 15ml CM

Day 20 Veg – 8/6: Watered each girl 2L with above mentioned nutes around 9am, Ph 6.7. Watered one day earlier than expected because plants needed it. Guessing due to higher day time temps and more root drinking/less transpiration. Broke a top on #3, used electrical tape to repair, curious to see how long it will take to heal. Using left over nutes from this feeding diluted with water for next feeding.

Day 23 Veg – 8/9: Watered till runoff for first time with very diluted water (6.6 ph). Runoff looked the color of amber.

Day 1 Transition – 8/13: Watered each girl with 3L. First liter water sprayed on top of medium, remaining 2L with nutes poured over top of medium (25ml BG, 20ml BD, 10 TM, 20ml Bloom, 4ml CM). Girls looked hungry, lighter green leaves, curious to see if they change after this feeding. Also pruned away lower fan leaves and bud sights being blocked + LST under the net.

Day 4 Transition – 8/17: Watered each girl with 4L of non-ph’d water at 6:30am (too early and forgot to ph). Sprayed 5th liter of nutrient solution from previous entry after the 4L of water had a chance to settle. Check to see if nitrogen toxicity shows after this feeding…it shouldn’t based on lighter color of leaves currently.

Day 8 Transition – 8/21: Watered each girl with 4L of compost tea brew (BG, BD, Earthworm tea concentrate, liquid kelp) and 1L sprayed of left over nutes (25ml BG, 20ml BD, 10 TM, 20ml Bloom, 4ml CM) before lights on. Removed scrog net for easier watering/defoliation access.

Day 11 Transition – 8/24: Girls starting to show buds. Does this mean stretch is over? Calculated nute ratios for flowering going forward…on a good path, been feeding at 40% recommended levels which gives me room to increase if necessary. Bio grow and bio bloom are the best nute combo ratio for flower so stick with it.

Day 12 Transition – 8/25: Watered each girl 4L (2L of nutes @ 40% recommended levels). Plants have stretched a couple inches since removal of scrog net but not enough to have any regrets about removing it.

Day 1 Flower – 8/29: Watered each girl 4L (2L of nutes @ 40% recommended levels) and poked aeration holes in medium.

Day 4 Flower - 9/1:
