2nd grow, indoor growbox setup, BC Big Bud

Hello everyone!
So here is my 2nd go at this.
1st try is closing in on harvest time, it went very well considering it was from bagseeds.
I learned tons from mistakes and from everything on here.
These are the first seed I bought online.
Germed 6 in peatmoss pellets, all sprouted fast, within 36 hours.
Veged them until 5th node, like 3 weeks.
This time the plants were topped, 2 at the 2nd node, 2 at the 3rd.
They were veged for another 3 weeks under CFLs.
They have been under 150w HPS for 7 days, they all showed sex and WOOT all are female!!

Looks awesome for a first grow. Your 2nd should be even better.
Is there exhaust hooked up to that light? How are the temps?

Hey, nice looking grow you've got set up, if you have good airflow and temps you can get those lights a lot closer though. Because a 150 has so little power to start with it's better to try and keep it within 4-6" of the tops if you can.

Lights are about 10-12inches from the plants.
Temp is stable at about 80-82F in both partition.
The ligths arent hooked to fans, but each partitions have 2 intakes and 1 exhaust plus a 6" desktop fan.
Even with the best ventilation I dont see how you can have a 150w HPS 4inches from the plants.

It's definitely possible, I used a sunsystem 150 this grow and kept it around 4-5" above the plant with just a small fan pointed at it from below and a high cfm exhaust fan, passive intake. Have you tried switching to 2 exhaust 1 intake to see if it affects your temps at all? Even around 80F you should be able to get a lot closer than that, you're losing a lot of light over that distance. Some strains may react differently but try and get it closer to see where it becomes negative, then move it back just a bit from there.

Hello all!
Weekly update on this my 2nd grow.
Start of week 3 (day 15).
Buds are starting to show, with the sexy little white hairs.
Some of the main colas have lots of small budsites forming, looks great.
One of the branches on the back left plant was getting a bit higher then the rest so I tried supercropping for the first time.
Seems to have worked great.

Beggining of week 3 (day 21)
Things are going smoothly.
Lowered the light to about 6' from the plants with no ill effects.

Starting to smell very sweet in here.

Well we're a month in this 2nd grow.
Day 28 update.
Buds are starting to get bigger by the day.
One plant in particular already has some nice trichs action going on.
Smells really nice and fruity.
Cant wait to see how big this BC Big Bud gets :)

Hey Kala, took a little peek in at your last grow and what you have been doing so far. Things are looking good, and with experience things will get better to. I would say that your bud height above your screen and your formation is already exceeding your last grow. Nice work.:clap:

The plants were topped as well so they have 4 or 6 main colas....lot less "energy" lost on small buds.

Looks really good, glad to hear moving the light down a bit worked out for you. I'll be checking in to see how this goes for you, might try a scrog under the 150 in the future sometime.
