My first grow ended in utter failure. One of the females died and caused root rot which in turn caused some kind of fungus which killed the girls off. Chopped her down this morning with just enough bud to fill 2 bowls 
Lessons learned: don't mix different strains in the same grow. They grow at different rates (duh). Don't over top. Once, maybe twice, but probably only once. No more than 3 plants (I already knew this, but had to push my luck anyway). etc etc
Ah well, learned alot. Here I am starting on my second grow. Everything's good and cleaned out. Got myself some kind of tight white nug bud from bag seed. Whole OZ only had about 20 seeds altogether. Went through each one and picked out the biggest egg shapped ones that I could find. When you separated the seeds there was a noticeable size difference between the ones I selected and remaining ones. From everything I've read in various places I'm pretty sure I've got selecting females seeds down to a science, all 4 of my last ones were female.
Ok, now to my grow space. I will post pictures soon, probably tomorrow after I've made it presentable after the horrible slaughter that had to take place
The space is a book case that I've converted into a closet that is about 3 foot high. I'm using only CFL's because they are cheap and I am the cheapest guy in the world (Hey everyone needs to know they're limitations - I'm OCD about spending money unnecessarily, thus the reason for growing my own, hehe)
