2ft Vertical Space - Enough for Scrog?

Hey everyone, just looking for a second opinion, or third, or 4th.

I have a dresser that is 5'5ft wide, 2'3"tall, and 16" deep. Those are the measurements of the inside of the cab, all usable space.

Is 2'3" enough to do a scrog? I mean, I was thinking of using T-5's to maximize the space.
Any and all advise is appreciated.

I would say no, you'll have no space to work, and you need to work on it constantly. 16" deep isn't real spectacular either.

i agree with you buds. i am scrogging right now in a 9x4x8 area. that cabinent would be a good canidate, but possibly something with a little more sq footage and not as much heighth. u dont need that much height in a scrog, but 2 feet 3 inches isnt enough. i think 4-5 feet would be perfect. but that cabinent is 6 feet so i could work. remember that u need to be able to access every part of the screen and underneath. yesterday i spent 4 hours cramped under my sceen that is set a 27 inches, crawling around branches and pots trimming up everything underneath. what a fucking pain in the ass it was. if u have any questions about scrogging please feel free to ask. Sleepytown is also another good person to talk to about scrog.

hey guys. just looking for advice on a few scrog topics.

i am also working with a small space, although height is not an issue. i have done tons of research (books, scrog-o-rama, etc.) and will be picking up my clones within 7 days.

i have no purchased lighting yet, as i have just been introduced to growers scrogging with cfls. is this adviseable? i planned on a 400w hid set-up.

i am also still deciding on the number of plants. i have 9 sqft of space, but would need to take a foot from one side to give better access to the back of the screen. i had planned on 1 plant per sqft and only one week of veg time to cut down on the total time, but ive found that more of the old school scroggers used less plants and more veg time and plant training.

also, i thought i was clear on the concept until seeing pictures, but how does training the plants work? are they let to grow past the screen and then brought back through to grow horizontally completely under the screen, or are topped shoot woven throught he screen? i am confused because i thought the entire plant would exist under the screen, and after looking at pictures, it seems like some just have a screen set-up and the plants just grow through it. maybe looks can be decieving.

sorry for the long post. to sum up: cfls, yes or no? more or less plants? and finally, do plants grown through, or completely under the screen?

any advise would be extremely helpful. thanks in advance.

Check out my scrog bro. you will like it alot. anyways the proper way to scrog is by vegging the plants into the screen. when a growth tip shoots up 2 inches above the screen u pull it back down through the next hole, it will then grow to the next hole and shoot vertical again, once its 2 inches above u bring it back down again. its like weaving a big living wicker basket that is ganna hold nugs lol. you train up to 2 weeks of flowering then stop. you want all your growth tips to be on the same plane, thus the screen. i topped my plants right b4 they hit the screen.

thanks for the training know-how. i have been getting most of my less than obvious info from riu, manly from you (billybob) and sleepy. it's nice getting some tips for my first time grow.

anyone have any info on scrogging with cfls? i hadnt seen much about it on here, but a lot of information in scrog-0-rama is based on cfl scrogs, and they were the pioneers. if it would be possible, my grow could get off the ground about a month earlier. i would have enough money for pot if i bought an hid set-up right now. lol

also, is 1sqft per plant enough of space? i have almost nine sqft and hope to build another flower cab. already have a veg area set up and would like to harvest once a month with two flowering areas.

btw, ill be growing in soil, as it is my first time.
