250w vs 400w Yield Question

Alright im sure its been brought up a billion.7 times but i wanna bring it up again.

for a 3x3x7 Tent, It recommends a 400w light. Can anyone tell me if there is a big difference between a yield of 2-4 plants using a 250w vs. a 400w? Would we be talking a good amount of difference or no? Im worried about costs to run them and heat in the tent. I figure a 250w i could prolly get by w/ just fans. But if the difference could be a 1/2lb or around there then thats alot obviously. But really i have no idea. Any help? Thanks

The difference in cost to run the two would be like $10 a month so I would spring for the 400w, not much cooling difference either. Go with the 400w you won't regret it.

im pretty set already with the 400 to be honest so i appreciate you leanin that way lol. I just dont want too much of a heat problem.

seriously lol? Are you saying i dont really have to air cool a 400w light in a tent? as long as i have good fan work going on..

I have a 4x4 tent with a 400MH lamp. My carbon filter goes directly to my fan and then directly out. The light is not air-cooled, but is just a reflector. I had 2 fans running 24/7 with one rotating and one fixed on the light I just had to throw away 4 plants because the temps would hardly ever get below 90F and often close to 100F. I even tried to turn my A/C down to 68F in the room. You really really really need to aircool your lamp. I'm purchasing an air-cooled hood this weekend and starting over.

I run a 400w Hps in a 36"x24"x60" tent.... How? It is aircooled lol I would shoot for the 400W since it will only future proof you and just make yields more pleasing. Aircooling is a must though if you plan to run a 400 =/
