Very nice Chris!

I'll be flowering soon with a 1000W EYE so hopefully be seeing colas like those by Xmas.

Nice !! That's the bulb I use.. although I was digging around and found out that genesis is supposed to be releasing a new bulb that "they" say is 20% better then the eye

I use the Genesis. I used the Eye in a previous grow. If there's a difference, I can't see it, but maybe it's not the new bulb you are talking about.

The new bulb is the Genesis gen 2 .. I've tried to find one but I don't think there out yet. From what I have heard there supposed to deliver the same performance as a dubbed ended bulb.

Mine is the Ultra Ace EN HPS Conversion bulb. 940 watt that runs off my 1000W magnetic MH ballast and gives me a great flowering spectrum.

I have a fairly new EYE 400 Super HPS that I like better than the SolarMax or Gavita I keep for backup. The Gavita is newer than both. For veg I've been using the same EYE conversion bulb that runs off one of my 400W hps magnetic ballasts for 15 freakin' years. Still vegs plants just great so screw blowing cash on a new one. I do need a 400mh veg bulb for my other ballast real soon. Vegging my plants under 10 40W T-12s atm and need to power them up but my buddy has both my HPS ballasts with the SolarMax and Gavita flowering out his plants in the 8x4 tent that's coming over here in 2 - 3 weeks when those plants are done. Then it gets the 940 hanging from the new light rail to be a flower tent. :)

There's a bare-bones ballast for ya.

I will definitely try the new Genesis bulb when it's available.. I've been very happy with the ones I'm using. They seem to be as good as the Eye and quite a bit less expensive.
