24 for veg or less

Hey y'all. Outdoors running low so it's time for me to enter the world of indoor growing. The internet is a great resource for many things but it seems some questions will just be argued until the end of time, with little to distinguish the truth of either side from each other.

So I decided to poll the locals and my questions are as follow...

1. Do you veg for 24 hours or less?
2. If 24 do you let your light cool for a period daily?
3. If less than 24 how much?
4. Have you done testing or is it just how you've always done it?

1 if I have cuttings rooting in the
veg room I run 24/0
2 I do not let the light cool
3 when I veg at less than 24
I use 18/6
4 just what was suggested and it works
so I continue

My clones are separate from my veg. My clones get 24 under T5s until transplanted and placed into veg.
I veg for 18/6.

No bud, 12/12 to show sex. 18/6 will keep em in veg.
I use a generator the rare times the power goes out.

how long should you keep them in veg if you are limited in the space of your grow and want to keep them short? 3/4 weeks?

Depends on the strain, size of lights you're using, if you train them, and of course the size of the grow area. General rule of thumb, expect a double in height during flowering.

Power outages are acceptable within reason(less than 48 hrs) if you grow in dirt. For Hydro guys and gals- I hope you have a auto-generator.

Veg usually 4 weeks( but I understand you can prolong it as needed ).
