info:

mg potting soil
germinated in paper towel in cup
planted into solo cups ~6 days later
transferred to these pots 5 days ago
18/6 cycle
fan blowing from direction of co2 jars onto lights/plants

they were on red cfls (oops) for the first 10 days or so, then i finally got my blues and they've been on 8 blues ever since. (plus the two peripheral reds for lower growth, hey, why not?) i also stupidly fed them a tiny bit of vigoro 10-10-10 while they were in solo cups.

i keep noticing a few gnats in the soil but the plants don't seem to be affected and i kill them as i see them (the safe way - by hand!)

what do you guys think? are they a little small?

MG is full of gnats. They are just a little small, but nothing to be worried about at all.

bump with another Q - the plant in pic #4 hasn't shown any growth for like a week now. i'm a bit worried. i'll be watering tomorrow, hoping that will help...

it's just some bristol paper. i didn't have anything when i set up initially, and it seems to reflect a decent amount since it's white.

when i rebuild my lighting scheme for flowering i'll get something better...

ok for the gnats you can fill a shot glass with apple cider vinager and set it by the plants and it will attract the adult gnats and as for the larva you can cut up pieces of raw potato and place it on the soil around the plant

and maybe you have too much light because when i was growing mine i had too much light when it was a smaller like a week or 2 old and it was suffering from light toxicity my leaves looked like your kind of curled or bent. that could be stunting their growth. i dunno that what i was told by other people and what i have read. hope this helps

yeah if your lamps are put to close to ur plant the leaves start to grow downward like yours are. they curve downwards because they are trying to get away from the light source. the lamp should be like 3 inches or more from the plant.

How are your temps? Do you have any fans circulating air? It looks like your temp is 88F, which could be causing the slow growth.
