i was wondering if anyone has tried a light cycle that lasts more than one day, for flowering such as 24/24 light cycle in which there is 24 hours of light and 24 hours of darkness. :peace:

i think something like 20/4 or 22/2 would make more sense a 48 hour day the plant might think it was on mars or something

Try it. The length of a day is not constant. It's close to 24 hours now but used to be a lot less. MJ probably evolved when days weren't 24 hours. Maybe they can be forced to adapt.

im no pro but i think it would stress the plant out. it needs to rest, 18 hours is still alot.

i look at it like this: if u were up and at work or doing whatever for 24 hours then ud be pretty tired an probably wouldnt wanna do much.

if a plant doesnt get some rest then it will probably do the same.

although im interested in this an how it effects the plant for a start and secondly what the final outcome will be. more yield, less yield? i think u should give it ago an report back :p

this is bullshit! I asked this same question and all I got was a bunch of naysayers........guess I just posted in the wrong section. but you should try it, I'm gonna try it eventually, but not for awhile. and smokeh, it'll have 24 hours of rest, too

i have read on another grow site that you can change the light schedule. not the 24/24 though but it apperently cuts the life schedule down alot. i`ll look for it and post a link. make your own call on it.

well, when I do it, I'm going to slowly increase the dark and light cycles over 10 or 20 generations(if the initial results suck) so hopefully it will adapt, and if not oh well.

hows it not possible....he asked if you could run a 24 on 24 off...obviously thats more than one day...which he stated..
now im not sure if it would work or not, i think 24 off might stress it

Hi this is an old post sorry for bringing it up but I'm about to test it. I'm testing 8 plants anyway I think my setup seems ok plants look good I'll TRY it out for a couple days one of my plants has a half purple half Green stem and is showing sex plants were on my balcony and got eaten by my cat

stoned as fuck right now haha but I was questioning a 24/24 now with my girlfriend

thought I'd Google it

here's what they look like now I brought them back to life with an organic soil mixture with earthworms and nitro sol organic plant food. they growing out quite nicely under a 50w full spectrum flood lamp. just a low cost experiment for now. going for an aquaponics LED with some dank online seeds

see the trauma they endured. this light has been the world to them. I Am the son... sun... haha

peace!

I run 24 hours of light for veg. I didn't see any stress.

When was the last time you ran 24/0??

Why do you anthromorphize a fucking plant? That makes no sense at all.
Why not just say " like dude, imagine if your plant was like a bear and needs to hibernate for a few months"
Why a human? You think the plant is tired because you get tired? Do you think the plant wants a shower? Maybe a beer? Some pussy? Internet access?
