Sup peeps, want to know if anyone would know what would be the difference with vegging all time and going 18/6. I have a baby about 1.1/2 weeks old and I was think about switchhing to 24/0. Is it benefical or is it risky? I don't wanna buy another 24 hour switch that my other plant is on that is about to go to 12/12 flower. -------------------------------------------------------- Anything I post is untrue and fictional

Naa not risky And as far as side by side comparisons theres not really much difference between 18/6 and 24/0

Is there anything extra that I would have to do to the plant. Nutes, watering pattern, etc. Will it speed up the vegging cycle? Thanx any help is needed, I'm going to have to switch to this pattern then go to flower 12/12, because I have 1 24 hour clock switch!!!

wha happens if i keep the plants on 24 hours during the whole vegging stage, the go to 12/12 for flowering. is that a little to much light for the little buggers to take. should i just stop BS'in and go get another 24 switch, because that's the main reason i have them on for 24/7 i just don't wanna stress them out

Wouldn't the sake of another be beneficial for your power consumption if it doesn't make much difference to growth.
I use 18/6 tried 24/0 a while back and i saw no real benefit really.

I have used 24hour cycle for a while and I havnt had any problems. I think 18/6 is good if your useing metalhalide or HPS lights...that way they get to rest and coool down everyday without overheating. but if your useing CFL's than you shouldnt have any problems with hermies...and if you do...it's probably not because of the light cycle the plants are on. just my 2cents.

-I'm doing 24/7. i just figured with CFL they should get as much light as i can get them. I could understand with HPS or MH, but CFL's lack a strong light output, so i chose to do 24/7.
