24 - 0 light cycle - a few questions.

hey yall,

I planted three seeds, 2 sprouted. Its been like 2 days since they sporouted. I was hoping to keep the 24 - 0 cycle on untill the third one sproutes and only than change to 16 - 8. Do you guys think that 5 days of 24 - 0 is too much? The two sprouted ones are still small like an inch size ().

So I guess the question is - what are the consequences of having 24-0 on for like a week? (untill they are 2 inches or so)? Should I wait for the third plant to sprout or go to 16-8 right now? :hump:

THANKS for reading!

ive been in 24/0 for 2 weeks now, while youre plants are in the vegging state they have absolutely no need to rest...
5 days of 24/0 isnt too much, id say its way too little, but everyone grows differently

i used 24/0 to start off... used it for 4 days before switching over to 20/4.. then 2 days of 20/4 use led to 18/6.. and since it has received periods of darkness, i noticed explosions of growth the mornings after (growth that occurred while i was sleeping).. and there seemed to be a correlation between length of darkness and growth as both increased at the same time.

BUT.. i'm a newb so what do i know.. i thought i would just point out this observation I've made with what I'm doing. Take note that growth occurred across two different mediums. DWC and Soilless.. across 6 different strains. Very consistently.

18/6 is just the minimum amount of time your plant should have light in veg. Autos usually get 24/0 or 20/4 all the way through and lots of growers keep plants in light 24/0 while vegging. My first grow, I did 18/6 from the time they sprouted until switching to 12/12. This time, I have Autos going in my Flowering area while my new crop of photoperiod plants get 8 weeks of veg time. They have all been under 24/0 for the first 4 weeks and just switched to 20/4, mainly because our electric bill was nuts for last month!

I'm not going to argue,(still half asleep.lol) so I'll just state that I'm a fan of 19/5, although none of the light cycles mentioned, are harmful.
