2200w 60 Site Aeroponic Grow

Hey guys,

Starting it off right this time with a good grow journal. This is my second grow and first in aeroponics. Last grow was only 3 big plants in 5 gallon buckets, 2 were AK-48 and the other was Lowrider. Ended up getting about 5oz total, not what i had hoped for but it was a good start for the first time.

I moved into the house and the basement was a pretty good area for a couple grow rooms so i set to work designing it in paint!

Here is what I came out with



Decided to make our own 60 site aeroponic system for ~$300

Above it is a 1000w HPS with sunsoaker reflector




The mother room is still under construction, I think we might do one plant for every 5 gal bucket but its really a pain to change the water in each one. Here's what it looks like though



The clone room came together today just need to spray paint the top of the cloner white, all the little guys in there right now are bag seed, were doing a run through with some crappy stuff to make sure everything goes right. Right now we have a Medi-Bud mother plant thats about 10 inches tall, and we have 3 Medi-Bud and 3 Ice seeds in germination right now



The fan worked out pretty well, there is an old coal chimney that just needed a little cleaning in the access vent, so that runs right to the roof



Right now we have some bag seed in flowering, this is about the 2nd week. Looking to get some clones this weekend from the dispensary to fill up at least 40 plants until we get some good healthy mothers.

Temp: 80*
Humidity: 55%
PH: 5.8
PPM: 1350

Nutes FloraGro, FloraMicro, FloraBloom, FloraBlend, Liquid Koolbloom and getting FloraNectar.

Looking to try some different nutes for flowering and vegging clones for 1-3 weeks, any suggestions?

Also next week we are going to be closing out the room and completely sealing it for co2 when we have some extra funds. We will also be switching the 1000w to become the mothering light and have (2) 600w HPS lights above the aeroponic system.

how long did u veg them

ha sorry im high when i posted this so i forgot a lot of info. Vegged for about 2-3 weeks cant remember exactly because it is bag seed and i didn't really care. Eventually i want to take 20 clones from 5 mothers every 2 weeks. Wait till they have roots, veg them for either 2-3 weeks, then the flowering cycle is pretty short so another 5-6 weeks.

Whats an average yield per plant that is about 2 feet high or so?

u need to check out dr greenthumbs thread if u havent already u does what i r planning
different set up but u can figure it out

as for yield who knows
would hope a oz a plant

but found this and op posted on greenthumbs thread and the argued which way was better so maybe u can find it that way

heres a couple more pics of today, they are really starting to hit flowering because of the week delay or so from me trimming them right as they were put into flowering.

everything is really starting to look good, that one girl is getting a little to close to the socket so unless she stops growing were going to have to lst her or something. room is going to be fully enclosed monday with co2 arriving hopefully all next week.

sorry this has taken so long to update, just been busy with life and building the room and getting everything together, oh and a lot of so i would want to start typing but got too lazy.

So we got the room all built out and got some Mylar up. Getting a new roll soon and then we will wrap it good. co2 is here but we are still waiting for the PPM meter so that should be all setup next week. We are having some debates on lighting, originally got a 1000w HPS thinking it would cover everything, it obviously doesn't so i added my 600w and that helps but i think the bulb might be a little burnt out? it doesn't seem to put out the lumens as it used to but maybe i'm used to the 1000w now.

Anyway we are debating doing (2) 600w or (2) 1000w, our plan is to get two easycool 6's from htgsupply along with a 6" fan and mount it to the ceiling connected to the two lights and have it just blow air through everything and back into the room.

lastly here are some of the newest pics, plants really exploded and 2 of them are taller than the light just about. The medi-bud plant which will be our mother along with 2 others look really good. This strain really stinks, it smells right now in vegging i cant imagine what shell smell like flowering

Hey man lookin good, ive been lurking here for almost 2 years now. Finally got an account in April. This is my first post. Anyways im planning on doing something very similar to your setup. So i have a couple questions.
What kind of nutes are you using?
Also, i was wondering if you think you might have trouble keeping those plants standing up once they get a bit more weight on them? Stinkbudz system has the additional pvc frame supports which he uses to tie his plants to. (i believe tbis is true)
And one more question: Correct me if im wrong, your using 3 inch net pots with leca pebbles and stink bud uses 2in net pots with neoprene collars? does the leca pebbles and 3 inch net pot give more support for the plants roots to hold itself up?

some of the plants have had trouble standing up, yes but we have put in a net to hold everything. Once this is done we will be covering the growing area with a 3x3" square net that will hold them up and act as SCROG. This was also because the plants spent at least 3 weeks in the cloner vegging so they got way too tall. When we start using clones, i think a week in there max will produce the right height for our room.

i actually use 2 inch net cups with the collars for when they are clones and i have just been cutting out a circle in the bottom of the bigger pot, putting the roots through and just having the 2" cup and collar stay in with the hydrotron until i harvest then i will reuse all the pots. I think the plant would have the most support if you grew it so the roots started out in the bigger of the two pots. I grew some trees last year by only using hydrotron for support and it worked well

hey guys ill post this in my other thread too, i typed up a whole long response yesterday but pressed the wrong reply button and lost all of it.

So to begin with, sorry for not updating this with pics, i always meant to just always seem to get distracted. anyway we ended up with 1 3/4 lbs from the bag seed (i think we had about 22 plants) which i was very surprised with, co2 makes all the difference in the world. Im excited to have co2 on from the beginning on this new stuff, should have very good yields.

Overall we learned a lot by doing the bagseed in this system, definitely will make future crops much better. Overall the quality is about a 6 which was expected and looks are about a 5 to 6. Wish we could have ran it with some better genetics but oh well thats what were doing now.

So we have 1 Medi-Bud (http://www.marijuana-seeds.nl/medi-bud-seeds.html) mother and to begin with were going to have a couple of those and just take clones every 9 days. We then had a hook up for clones and were just going to buy 10 clones every 9 days but the guy got raided sooo heres what is happening for the moment

we have about 12 medi-bud clones that are almost ready to go, along with that we have 1 of each of the following ice, white widow, chronic, triple cross, afghan skunk1 blackberry, blue cheese, cheese and blueberry.

Were going to get all those going and then take some more medi-clones. Next time i head to the westside of the state, i plan on getting any clone that sounds tasty. probably another 4 strains of 5 each, then 2 weeks later doing the same thing

I will follow all this with new pictures of the room, we just got 2 Easy cool 8's with a 1000w in each one of them. we also have the 600w over the mother so we are now at a 2,600w grow.
