220 Watt CFL- Soil - Indica Dom Strains - 3 Females

Id use the HPS and probably a larger CFL on each side and it'll just be a more clean efficient setup.
Also the way that the HPS works will be more efficient than the CFLs. so 150w HPS and 84 watt or 110 watt CFL will be perfect for the space.

will be easier to control heat.

I dont really like random CFLs hanging everywhere.

Probably gonna up the watering frequency, woke up today and it was all droopy at the start of the 3rd day from watering.

Gave it FloraNova Bloom at 1.5tsp/gallon

nice nice, what kind of temps are you running?
My temps are a little bit of a problem, getting up into the 82-84 in day time. Only going to have them under those lights for a little bit though until I can borrow a 4 bulb t5 set up from a buddy, with 4 of 5 of my CFLs in as additional lighting. Hoping that the t5s will bring my temps down.

Plants looking good man! Keep us updated!

you might have some luck with the t5's..supposed to give off a lot less heat then cfls..my temps get high sometimes too in my pc box.. just have to remove a bulb once in a while..when its cold i just throw it back in.. good luck holmes

Also you have to remember that you need the temps even lower for flowering and lower spectrum bulbs (2700k aka flowering bulbs) tend to run a few degrees warmer. Which is another issue I had.

I have been watering when she starts to be droopy should I not let her get to that point? I'm watering every other day normally when she shows me she needs it.....

The issue I have been having is when im low on water they also seem to have nitrogen deficiency or dying lower foliage.

So either the lack of water makes the plant take life out of its lower leaf. Or my humidity is too low 16%-30%.

Either way watering solves both of those issues so I just try to make sure they aren't going to dry out overnight which is the worst.

My humidity is 16%-40%. Had dying lower leaves as well but I started giving her more water each watering for the past two weeks. Gave her 3/4 of a "great vaule" water bottle 45 mins before "sunset" earlier today . So I'm still not giving her alot each watering I dont think ? Gave her nute water monday prolly about the same amount as today like 12 to 14 oz's?
Sorry for the rambleing
So my point is I give her water every other day religiously now and dont see alot of yellowing like I did and the leaves are still yellow were they kinda "burnt" on tips but still really green

You aint rambling. Anyways I have a 1/2 gallon container for watering and all 3 plants took up 1 of those exact. Ill probably water 2 of them every other day and the 3rd every 3 days and it'll work out well for awhile.

Gave them Veg nutes today in order to preserve the foliage a little further into flowering. I'll post pics tomorrow maybe, was gonna do weekly but idk.

Also I had taken out my 6500k Lights but i read in a thread that in early flowering the trichomes develop off of the 6500ks a lot and then go to the lower spectrum or something

basically different trichomes develop with the different spectrums so im gonna start rotation my bulbs around to make sure its as potent as possible.

Figured it didn't really need 6500s cause everyone flowers with HPS and you only see some growers who buy the expensive dual ballast MH/HPS 400W/600W hoods.

....and thats rambling

My buddy flowers with 1000 watt MH and a 400 HPS..In a 4x8x7 tent.. So I'm gonna leave my 6500ks in there w/ my 2700ks.?. So lets go trichomes!!!

What I did was just introduce FF Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom into my two liter I use w/ FF Grow Big and Earth juice Catalyst. All are at half strength except EJ it's at full strength. Gonna work my way up w/ bloom nutes and down w/ veg and EJ to about half. Just throw diff combo's out there and see what happens? Gonna be confusing as hell but got a brand new note pad that I have written stuff in everyday since she popped out of the ground so I can kinda so what was going wrong and what I did if it helped ect. and when I LST'd so I can compare in the future.

I havent even put that on my thread hehe need to change my name to slack@$$

Flushed them yesterday and will hit them with 1.5tsp/gallon of floranova bloom next watering, maybe molasses if i go to the store in that time. Also my fan inside the grow box broke so gotta get a new one.

Plant 1 (not sure why leaves are curling, I think its because 55 watt bulbs are right by the cola on the sides kinda so once one leaf touched the light they all started doing that. only spot on the plant to have leaves curling. ~5-6 weeks to go. Me and this plant dont get a long.)

Plant 2 (~3-4 weeks left, starting to get some crystals)

dinner 027.jpgdinner 028.jpgdinner 029.jpgdinner 030.jpg

Plant 3 (finally turned back the color of dark green and is starting to grow. It was rootbound for awhile and then got a deficiency so the main cola looks like it'll be very compact, should be interesting, probably 7 weeks left)

nice grow man, the plants look very nice! the curling leaves do look like a heat/burn issue. also the pheno on plant 1 looks different than 2 and 3, more sativa-ish? all three looking really healthy.

Thanks man, ya that plant is decently tall so i have the lights more on the side of that cola just so they are still close to the rest of the plant. gonna Scrog next grow so that wont be an issue hopefully

Ya its weird cause all the seeds are from the same nug. plant 2 leaves look similar to the shape of arch's northern light and plant 1 is way more sativa and 3 is inbetween.

the box seems to be running 3-5* cooler without the fan on the inside.

interesting...
Looking good! yeah I had the same prob with my fan 3-6 degrees diff...
that's interesting... it might have to do with where your fans are pointing maybe? i'm pointing mine straight at the cfls, and i *think* it's brining temps down by a deg or 2. ideally i think i would want to aim the fan *up* at the cfl's, so the hot air goes up instead of sideways/down toward the plants, but can't quite arrange it in my box that way.

interesting...
My fan also increased temps. It blows the heat down from the lights. I was considering only using my fan at night? I also ordered a can fan thinking I need to pull the air out of the space faster.

My fan was pointing up at the lights and was sucking air from the intake, so i figured it was blowing cold air around and at the lights. but whatever haha

haha my bad, last time i cropped them, I will next time, also it'll allow me to zoom in more that way.
