220 LED Build

So I have a new space that has a an old dryer outlet and I have been thinking that may be something I want to use for my next light. I have built a few LEDs in the past and been happy with them but I have no idea what driver would be able to run on 220 and of course I would like to go with something north of 1000 watts. I usually use quantum boards but am open to anything. Has anyone ever done something like this? Thanks

Most drivers will run 115-220v, led or digital hid. Not sure about trying to use a dryer plug, not sure the type you had in mind, I use a 6-30r style plug on my ballasts and or standard 120v cords. Input voltage won’t change output voltage, it’s just higher voltage and lower amps simply put, there is reasoning behind it, depending what you are trying to do.

Actually it is lower amps that I am going for so I don't trip breakers, I will pick up a 6-30r tomorrow thanks

Litterally any of meanwell hlg range drivers will do 220v. Youll be more likely to find drivers who run poorly on 120 than 220. Its in the datasheets. Generally

And those deltas say 100-277vac on them as well, I have mine wired on 115 for now.

Awesome I just checked and I have a Meanwell HLG-600h 54a on order and if I only need to switch it I will be happy. I am thinking about running 6 QB288s in parallel on it or do you think I should run 8 to increase efficiency?

8, and you can mount them on some sheet aluminum and save both efficiency, and on heat sinks and get better spread. The 6 heatsinks should cover the cost of a couple more boards and some cut sheet alu.

I run my HLG-240h-48ab & HLG-320h-54a drivers on 240v since I already had a 30A 240v light controller hardwired from my HID’s.

Most drivers run 100-277v.

What type of light controller are you using?
Just a cheap Topogrow 240v 4-light controller w/120v trigger cord. Had a sentinel previously but sold it when I stopped growing for 2 years.

Definitely overkill and not necessary for the 800w of LED Im running.
