Just came in from putting in a few more big poles, windy and now wet out there. Not much else to do but wait and see if anything gets dinged. Flowers look purty on the Indian Himalayas -

Mazari starting to frost - IMG_7380.jpeg

Good luck to anyone in the storm’s path.

Safe mix for flower? Assuming as a PM treatment? What concentration? I need one more spray application to make it to mid October.
Finally stopped here.. Gave em a spray of potassium bicarbonate, soap, n water.
Neem was slowing it down alot, but hopefully this knocks it down harder. Getting to late in flower for the neem anyways

First spot of bud rot today, grey dead pistils. No worm inside so i assume its the start of botrytis:mad:
I had what looked like a tiny spot of rot on the unknown volunteer plant. Actually popped up a week later than I usually see botrytis. So I’m hitting everything that’s got flower clusters with 1:3 peroxide spray every couple of days. In the past it has slowed the spread to manageable levels.

Always hated it when I would see those yellowing or sometimes brown & dry 3-fingered leaves poking out of a big cola. I'd pull on them and the whole leaf would come out with the stem all gray and I knew there was BR in there and it was time to rip it out and hope for the best.

Going to try outdoor autos next spring. Germinate around mid-May so that I can chop before the really humid summer weather rolls in.

1/2tsp of castile soap to 1Tbs potassium bicarbonate per gallon. No burning and pm is knocked down pretty good here...
Dreading this next batch of wet weather though... May start selectively chopping starting now.. too early

This is going to be a rough week. Think it's too late to apply the Castile foliar?

I’m with you on potentially beginning early chop for selective colas. The bud rot, though not overwhelming yet, is still certainly real. I busted up my ankle pretty good about 2 weeks ago and currently walking with the aid of a walker, so Mr. Flexible I ain’t right now. Tbh spraying and my best attempts at maintaining, even with best intentions is really just not an option. There’s today and tomorrows rain then a few better days to follow, but they’re already talk’n some rain again next weekend. I really really hate watch’n my fruit die on the branch sooo… <sigh> :eyesmoke:

I took one down this morning. Hoping to take one down per week for the remaining 4 if everything stays relatively healthy.
Last year i only had a couple larger plants and did partial harvests till the end. Worked out pretty good, and spacing out the trimming was much easier on the back

Took down the volunteer plant yesterday, would have liked to have gone a week or two longer but the septoria leaf spot was working its way into the sugar leaves and who wants to consume that crap. Trimmed up pretty good, pretty sticky and smells of gas and sour citrus, might get a couple oz. from her -

I took some close ups, I don't know how to edit my last post. The first is a wedding tree by humboldt seed co, that's the leaner. The other is og kush by NASC, which was late to frost but fights mold better.

These were runts that responded poorly to Superthrive. I didn't expect them to survive so this is cool. Superthrive is lame and has a synthetic pgr, na-1, i'm going with some recharge for my kelp next year.

It's been a strange summer in the valley, that's for sure.

Weather in the valley is always different than the rest of Mass.
My sister is in haverhill and seems to have snow when i dont, higher heat, and way more thunderstorms than here on the coast

Found several spots like this on the Mazari today after the plants dried enough to inspect. Cut out the bad stuff and hit it with peroxide. Can’t really complain as this is a couple weeks later than I usually start seeing rot, but if the peroxide doesn’t slow it down it I will have to decide how much effort I want to put into keeping her going -
