I am actually just recovering from what I call a serious trimming accident lol.
I spent oct 7 to nov 7 trimming that 12 pounds. The position I was in for so many days took its toll on me around the 10th of Nov by slipping a few discs in my back.
Just getting over it now and able to stand straight.
Definitely getting a trimmer next season and hopefully a few strains that are easier to trim.
Its a ton of work to grow the biggin's and even more work to get it all in jars...and that is no lie....

my first medical crop was 138 mason jars by 2oz per jar. or 276 oz or 17-1/4 lbs. from 5 plants
it was a pile of work for me...
so much so that I scaled back to 3 plants the next year...
After all the research I did after finding out I had the option of cannabis from family doc I was so sceptical that a 200 gallon pot could yield 2-5 pounds and a 600 gallon yeild 6-10 and so on up to a 1000 yeilding 10-15. I actually laughed pretty hard.
I figured I’d put it to the test not really thinking it they would grow that big ( hence the spacing of my pots ) I would have stagered the set up for more room.
Well needless to say 3 plants pulled 17 pounds with 12 nice smokable ones. No Sceptic anymore lol. The other challenge was getting them as big as I could in Canada versus California

You did amazing for 3,,big ones...
My third season I went back to a 1/2 schedule of plants...so 6 out of 12 allowable and it was still way way way to much work for someone with my structural issues....in my spine/neck... but it did allow me to do 3 strains by 2-plants each strain.

Your first year sounded awesome but very understandable to cut back next season.

Ya the 2 reasons why I asked doc to up script to 5g a day is so I can do 6 Different strain plants this year.
Way to much bud for 2 strains lol.
The other reason is storage compacity.Lol.

central Ontario has a pretty good climate for mj growing from the middle of the province to the south.
though the odd year will kick your ass with bugs or mold....
I also would do one clone and 1 seed plant of each strain...The clones would turn into huge round ball plants
and the seed plants would be tall and large beautiful plants...with that natural shape but the size of medium Christmas trees.
I would then build with 16' 2x4 a tripod over the natural shaped plants...so I could tie to it for branch support.

I use the cages to to give my plants that round structure instead of growing them straight up.
All 3 plants were nice perfect balls.
Some people might not have seen the cages I used cuz the plants swallowed them however each plant had 3 cages.
My middle plant which was the biggest was a clone of OG Kush.
I definitely would have lost a few branches if I didn’t have them supported by cages.
They may have even gotten bigger but I did skip a few waterings letting the roots starve and search for water because they’re getting out a hand for a backyard grow.

Ya it was a great place to unwind after work or at lunch since I work from Home....I put a chair right out in the middle and by the end of the season
it was a jungle...I can't mention enough about the healing properties of just tending a garden such as these ones...it becomes an escape...a place to wind down, a place to have a coffee and clear your mind or meditate.newleaves 169.jpg newleaves 169.jpg newleaves 171.jpg newleaves 162.jpg

Yes central Ontario.
Last year I had 13 plants start all by themselves from seeds that had fallen off the crop from the fall before and over wintered in the garden...of the 13 total .... 7 were males which I killed and the rest I used a bait plants this past summer.
One of my neighbours up the road or upwind at least ....must of had a male plant...because the odd bud would have 2 or 3 seeds in them...
This strain is very accustomed to our climate and will finish up end of sept to end of oct....
but will also take the frost 5 or 6 times...without much degradation

I bet if you used round cages they may have gotten bigger buts that’s big enough lol. Although that is another added expense.
