Unless my math is off thats a draw of 1800W from the wall? Shiiiiiit, id love to see that light, must be massive. I started looking into COBs a month or so ago. Growmau5 is a good youtuber with a ton of knowledge and design ideas.
1800 watts is correct, covers 6ft x 8ft table in a 10ft x 13ft room. I had some aluminum sheet laser cut with the holes cut for the Cob's and screws, 90" long panels. I must say clean looking build. 1000 watts from Timber to go with 800 watts of DIY. Going to sell the DIY bars and replace it with Timber. The best part about my new set up is it only draws 18 amps with the lights on full including a 8" Hyper fan. I will post some pics soon....

Jeez not sure if I should say anything, the spies my out me, LOL. I am reading as much as I can at both forums about many growing techniques, nutrients, equipment etc..
So it is all good. This place is like home though, first and foremost.
I like how they delete and undelete threads as the powers that be there decide what folks can write or not. The place is so censored it has no point to it. This RIU site is by far more run by grown-ups for sure. The very nature of discussions by adults is often not pretty but that is what makes it worth reading. A buncha folks to scared to say anything is pretty much what you get there. You speak up and you get deleted or scolded. It's an old boys club. No wonder the place is so dead...who would want to waste their efforts there imo. They have the worst cannabis site I've ever seen. I was told that "gloating" wasn't okay there...how fuckin funny is that ?? An emotion someones has isn't allowed. They have like 5 guys who post there to each other...funny actually......they had a shot at more folks and blew it. Now everyone is gone.

Plants sure do love the CXB 3590 spectrum, are you running 3500k ? I am running 36 CXB3590 @ 50 watts each with a mix of 3500 and 3000k. I am at day 36 from the flip and can’t believe how the frost is building. I have seen two different lab results from two different posters running HPS vs COB’s and both times the THC content was higher by 10% on the COB’s, 10% is a lot. Like you say the colors really pop with the CXB3590.
Nice, damn that's a lot of light :) yeah I stuck with the 3500k, they do the job well. Wow 10% is a big spread, I certainly noticed the difference, in frost and the terps are perfume level with any of my keepers.

Can you guys recommend a prefab LED light? Something equivalent to 600W?

Ive heard rumors that Marc Emery is somehow involved with CANUK seeds. I wonder if those are true.

An update since I started this thread. I have had basically every issue you can imagine from fungus gnats to pythium to bad well water to iron reducing bacteria, for my first RDWC grow at this place. Some plants didn't make it. Anyways finally grabbed the world by the balls, got my grade 10 and my life back on track and just flipped them into 12/12 a week ago. So here they be:room.jpg room1.jpg

Man those look awesome. I hope mine turn out even close to that! What kind of system are you using? I'm thinking of switching back to my first love, ebb and flow since RDWC is such a pain in the arse with my well water.
Thanks, I am using 5 gallon pails in Peat and I added approx 25% more perlite. Typically water every 5 days but pails are totally dry before I water. They look way better in person vs the pics. Yield was stated as XXL...Looking like it's true. Lighting is CXB3590. This strain is a keeper for sure, amazing aroma and super sticky already. These sure are Mag hogs under COB's. I also use well water, I just need to PH it down.

I guess with well water it's different from place to place, mine has iron reducing bacteria and other types and is super hard (almost 1.0 EC) so I first have to RO it and then O3 it. I get so pissed when I hear the awesome water other people have lol! finding something that works for you is key I think. I remember the first time I did DWC on municipal water it went freaking amazing, better than ebb and flow or soil ever did for me (I got about a pound off a 400w). Then I moved and that no longer works nearly as well.

PH Down is pretty easy to make but is anyone making their own PH Up? I don't really like the idea of baking soda (it works in a pinch) but not sure who locally would carry Potassium Hydroxide.

Edit: No, there are no hydro or grow shop with in even 150km of me :(
