Hey Curious2garden, keep me posted on your progress. I have several of the same strains on their way as well and think it would be interesting and beneficial to have someone to discuss them with.

Attitude's January 2013 promo was great for filling in the niche areas. If you would like to watch this years strain hunt it will be in this years journal (the first one in my sig). Here ya go: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/609001-here-annie-grows-again-3-a.html

None of the new genetics have arrived yet but I popped my Attitude 2011 freebies, Ceres White Indica, Ceres Northern Lights X Skunk and John Sinclair Viper Indica. They are growing fast.

i aint popped my bubba 76 yet. i have a friend in detroit who just popped his recently.
Sounds like that or Mastodon Kush, or royal purple both from emerald triangle should be where you look.
i only have a pic of the pre98 bubba if u wanna see it. its still small, only about 4 weeks veg from a tiny "barely gonna make it" clone.

i like pre98 bubba i have a couple other mixes of it ive yet to pop: Ch9: bubba kush33. Emerald Triangle: grapefruit krush.
however only other ch9 bean ive ever tried turned out to be 100% male from "female" seed. so i cant say much about them.

If you want it purple go with the royal, i think mastodon is sold out on the tude. if u dont give a damn about purple id prolly stick with the 76. i think the 76 is a sweeter afghan than the black, which im geussing is spicy.
I would LOVE to see your Pre 98 Bubba! I am really looking forward to the Bubba 76. I would love to add a purple strain but more important are the effects. So it would have to be purple with pain relief.

if you are worried about falling asleep we are talking about you being confused on what u need as meds vs what you enjoy smoking. especially with the strains weve helped u narrow it down to.
Well the brain stutter effect I get from the Pre 98 along with that itchy feeling about 1/2" under my skin that I can't get rid of would be nice to do without. But it works well on the pain. I'm good with that at night as it puts me to sleep relatively quickly which is good.

It would be nice if I could replace my day morphine but that would require something that would keep me mentally clear. But I stopped pot back in the '70s because the sativa's made me so paranoid and gave me tachycardia.

I like la con but it does not put me to sleep just vary relaxed and chill with a big smile. It is pretty good for pain and makes me hungry .great taste and smell.Kosher is really good but it is head and body .The head high is strong on the kosher like on a trainwrck or perma frost, but with a strong body high.I grew the afgan kush auto last year and it smelled and tasted great and wasnt super strong and could be smoked during the day.I want to try the non auto one as i hear it is good for sleep, good luck in your search.
Thank you, the LA Confidential sounds like it might have possibilities.

Have and currently. Its a solid plant my pheno is very indica. Good solid smoke...grows purty.

Thanks that's interesting. It's a pretty expensive seed I'm not sure I could afford a phenotype hunt.

Lost Coast OG was incredible.
Thanks, I'm wondering about the OG's. I hear people talk about them so I would like to figure out what they are.

I've also grown Grapefruit Krush by ET and was little smaller, but was one of the tastiest strains I ever grew.

I didn't have much luck with RP Sour Kush. Kind of a runt plant and had more of a sativa pheno than I was expecting. Someone actually ripped it on me last week of Sept with 3 weeks left to go on it. Glad they got that one and not the Lost Coast. Ripped my patch just a few days after I harvested my other plants. I got lucky.
Ouch I am so sorry you got ripped. That has to hurt. I've been looking at Grapefruit Kush by ET. It seems like there isn't a lot of noise surrounding ET seeds (which I think is a good thing). So I've been wanting to try their stuff for awhile. I'm excited waiting for my seeds to arrive.

dang sonar im sry to hear that. at least that lost coast was bomb. i got lucky with my outdoor grow. my blue widow and casey j ended up being bomb.

...snip images removed snip...

dinafem blue widow was heavily indica for me, i only grew one seed tho too. nice psychedelic indica high, i wasnt expecting it. good indica that doesnt floor you automatically.
Such a beautiful plant! You did very nicely on your grow.

Yeah I can also reccomend emerald jack by emerald triangle. I've grown we'll over 20 strains from seed and emerald jack is the only so far I plan on keeping for a long long time.

Bag appeal & smoke: looks DANK! Very dense beautifully formed buds. Nice pinecone shaped (but bigger, huge dense buds) smells almost fruity. Did I mention dense and dank. Smoke is energetic but gets you lit. Hard to sleep on. For that reason not good late night.

Growth: Xmas tree. Not very full allowing good light penetration. Branches aren't thick so you'll want to tie branches up because buds are so heavy. Also great for bag appeal bc the stems in buds are so small and weigh nothing. Yield is great. I've been getting 4+ per plant (6plants under each 1000) got like 8+ off the first one. It was tall (6+ft)and I slacked hard, always letting it wilt bad before watering.

Interested in veneno report.Vegging one now that I've had for a year+
Very good report and information, thank you. I'm looking forward to hear how your Veneno turns out. It's pretty expensive so I'm going to see other's results first. Do you have any pics of your Veneno?

Any idea where one might find Tom Hills Deep Chunk? I've also been interested in Malberry's wear. (Bhutanese Thimphu, Mozambiquen Poisen, Malawi Gold or Mulanje Gold.)
BC Bud depot seems like the only one who has, Anyone else? Love to try the Albert Walker clone only strain. Seems like the old Afghani from years past. One time I had Chocolate chunk from somewhere in Oregon, It was way up there for me and my peeps. Had to be in the top 5. How close is this to the Deep chunk? Anyone know?
Cheers

I would love to hear some feedback on some of those Ceres strains. I think it was 3 or 4 years ago I grew out a single Ceres Purple and was very impressed. Great yield and very high quality smoke. Wanted to give some of their other strains a try, but like so many others, so many many strains, so little time.

Here's a few pics. I had to bend it over it got so huge.

My ceres freebies turned out really well. The "White Indica had a huge main cola with tons if crystals. The smoke is strong and smooth with very little taste. The "Viper" was a short and sugary plant with a heavy fruit smell. It's been in the jar for a month and strangely smells like pineapple but tastes like vanilla. It's buzz is mild but euphoric. The NLxSkunk is my favorite of the last grow which included CVK from CC and Vanilla Kush from Barney's. Very strong with a great spicy taste and a fruity/spicy smell. She was hard to keep the nutes on because she drank much slower than the rest of room.

Totally...I have LCOG, Trainwreck, Vanilla Kush, and Chololope. Aside from my last go around with Trainwreck, LCOG was my best overall experience (grow and smoke). Only issue was it stretches pretty bad for my indoor room is only 6ft tall. Yield was not up to par with the Trainwreck (sorry i cant remember what breeder i purchased seed from) either. I only mention the Trainwreck because it is the most hardy and highest yielding girl i've had yet. I also use a combination of LED and HPS for flower, fyi. I used to have Tangerine Dream and Easy Sativa but i needed to get rid of a couple...too many for my small space. Anywho, my LCOG turned out smelling of this wondrously strong vomit a couple weeks before harvest which kinda detoured be excitement but the nuggets were hard as a rock and got even harder after curing (Humboldt Gravity was used for the first time). The smoke experience was awesome, nearly instant relief of stress with much awaited euphoria, along with strong body effects about 15min later. I'm a high tolerance user so when i come across something that does the trick after just a couple toots i'm impressed. I rarely use any Humboldt agents anymore due to the continuous questionable ingredients, but damn are they effective.
Sorry if you feel this was a randomly long reply but I've been anxious to get that out there to someone who enjoys LCOG.

...also this is directed mainly towards 'sonar'...but also all LCOG and Emerald Triangle lovers!
