Hey y'all just have a quick question about when I flower. I'm limited on space and will be tying them down soon before I flip the lights, hopefully in the next week or so. I was just wondering if there were any tips to reduce stretching? I've read that having a mixed light spectrum helps keep em short and I have that with my CFLs. But I guess I'm just asking for an experienced grower to drop some knowledge into my hungry head. Anything will help. And sorry if this is hard to read/comprehend I'm exhausted and I guess I could've waited til the morning to post but honestly, I'd probably forget. So yeah of there's anything any of y'all know of to help reduce stretching when I flip I would appreciate it.

I think you will be fine with some lst. Some guys veg for a month and flower in a pc case and are able to do so lst'ing the sh!t out of her. The main stretch will be the first 3 weeks of flower (really depends on strain). If you tie her down and she keeps stretching, tie her down a little more! hope this helps.

Thanks! Yeah I was planning on tying them down once the two new tops grow out a little more. It's like I've done my research and I'm confident about what I'm doing and want to do its just nice to have confirmation. I guess because my previous grow didn't go as planned I'm more.. Not paranoid, but worried about them. But thanks! I'll be posting a picture of them tomorrow when I wake up. Tomorrow will be day 28 of veg from seed. Keep an eye out for them

more blue spectrum will keep plants shorter. so keep heavy on the blue side til stretch stops then add the red.

UPDATE DAY 28: the little fella that was burned is making a comeback! Haha nowhere near as strong and healthy as the others but still it's good to see improvement. Did a little bit of LSTing on the bottom left one (I topped naturally growing one) because I noticed the undergrowth just wasn't growing as much as if like it to. It's hard to tell from the picture where I tied her down but you can see the lean. The undergrowth loved the LST and I will soon (hopefully end of this week) be tying the other three down in preparation to flip the lights to 12/12. Plants are all about 6-8 inches but looking super healthy.

Little side note for all the people saying to trim fan leaves to let light get to the internodes. DONT DO IT! Not only are you taking away good from the plant for later use but also you can just as easily fold the fan leaves to sit behind the undergrowth. Yes you have to fold it back each time you go to check on them but it is worth the little but of time. Just thought I'd put that out there because in seeing a lot if people claiming that trimming fan leaves to let other growth shoot up is good.

If there's anything y'all think I can change or do better please let me know!

In preparation for flowering on Friday, I've tied the two big ones down and supercropped where I couldn't tie down. I'm curious as to what the little one will do when flipped and how much it will produce if it's a female hahah not expecting much from it

Sorry about not posting lately, but I've had a lot to do. I had to move the plants and the lighting. They're now under a 150w HPS with some CFLs but I plan on adding more CFLs when I start to flower.
