2000w hps vert room 8x8x7 advice please

ok so i need some help been looking around and trying to figure out how to best use what i have. I realized a vert setup is what i need to change too. i currently run 2000w in horizontal hoods over a 4x8 area i have 6in cool tubes two of them from doing micro grows in a small tent so would be planning on using these as i dont want to spend a shit ton of money as i already have spent a good amount. im using ak-47 they grow to around 2 feet tall (pot included) or less when vegged a week or less. so im thinking 4 shelves counting the floor a shelf 17 inches off the floor as the plant of the floor will end in 24 inches and the pot on the shelf above it is 7 inch tall (using 1 gal pots) so the top of the bottom plants will reach the bottoms of the plants above it and so forth up to the third shelf.

now if i was to put the cooltubes in the middle of the room i could build a 4x4 shelf system and have 1.9' so almost 2 feet of space to walk around it and water plants from the back. so all plants would be roughly 24 inch from cooltube to start. i want to do 5 plants per shelf that gives me 8 cubic inch of space for plants to grow into per plant so 80 plants total with 20 per wall or do 4 per shelf giving 12" cubic space a plant. im using a 6inch fan with scrubber to cool room and tubes as bringing in cool as from outside is not a option. my room stays at 80-85 lights on and 65-70 lights off 45% humidity. also have a ceiling fan in middle of room already that is 2.5 feet wide to so i will have airflow for the 4x4 box of green. also will be adding a fan on floor pointing up.

ok so now to my questions should i tilt my shelves a bit towards the light?

is 24 inches to far from cool tube? as i want to keep as much square footage im gaining as i can without losing intensity as more surface area will give me more bud but less light with counter act this so need to get it right.

also im using the GO nute line everything but bio weed and bio roots and black diamond i do not have i don't veg long and these are all for veg according to them maybe someone has something else to add about this?

i feel like a noob as i am such a technical person that i was not thinking of square footage going in the air all around but maybe that is because this is my first ROOM i get to play with. i will have to wait to get this rolling as i have a horizontal crop going and wont be done for 6 weeks or so. so this thing will take shape over time.

another question i had was what if i went straight to the walls with shelves and hang bulbs without tubes? as im already hitting max heat in my room with the cooled hoods so the plants would be like 3 feet from bare bulbs which would give me 3 feet between bulbs and plants to work on them. just trying to get this setup right before i do it as i hate reconfiguring later

There are so many differences between what you propose and my own setup that I don't feel like I can give you any useful advice.

You're in soil, I do hydro.
You want lots of little plants,I do a few big ones. Those differences, among others, make yours a completely different approach.

Everything you've mentioned sounds good so far. Best of luck!

well good sir i thank you as you did provide me with advice just in a way most dont think is advice...i seem to have been on my own right track to begin with....im just not wanting to do something really wrong and loose weight not gain weight as that is the reason to go vert to begin with as why waste money (light) when you can use it. i under stand your doing big ones but I have one room to play with and a 4x2 tent to veg/clone with so im making do with that i have...it should work out i think def gonna tilt them in a bit toward the lights. i just want to figure out a way to tilt them straight to water then back at angle again this will take me some planning i think as it would have to have a stadium to flip plants straight up and down as i plant to stack plants on plants = no pot showing except the floor pots...so my box might actually be a box stadium grow in terms i guess...will have to post pics of the beast when im done

I have my shelves flat no tilt to them the plants will grow towards the light. You are running 1k bulds i take it so 24in should work fine. I run a 600 on a light mover 3 shelves in a 48in x 48in x 80 in octagon myself. Fill free to stop by my thread and pick my brain if you need to. I have built 3 vert rooms now and learned from each one.
I am at 7 weeks from flipping this room, so almost finished it first run.

ok Dr.D81 i see you run a bare bulb i was planning on using cooltubes as in ill be using 2 1000w hps in a 4x4x7' tall box grow the reason for cooltubes is my temps are already at 85 and i run lights at night right now and the temp outside in the 50-40s and figureds that bare bulbs would give me a heat problem. i wish i could bring cold air from outside in but thats not an option i try to keep the place im at in the low 60's as i dont want to freeze...once winter is here i should not have a problem at all another month or so which is also when i plan to start this vert. next summer i will more then likley put a ac in the window to keep running those two 1k hids.

one more thing i was gonna add im planning on staking them up so maybe put the stakes in at a angle instead and train them to that?

Yea i run it bare bulb. I move the air a lot and an ac unit so i can get away with it. dst runs two 600 in stacked cool tubes dezs runs a 1k in a cool tube. Check out the vert 600 in the vert section. We have pics of several setups and and everyone is super great about helping:-)

I don't grow this way but I would think it would be a pain to saturate the soil with water if they were at an angle.

Why cant you use outside air? You could regulate it with a fan and timer, or motorized damper and temp switch.

Window air conditioners don't work well in cold temperatures.

Window AC loses efficiency in HOT weather, not cold. Pulling winter air in to cool with is fraught with issues from flash freezing to humidity control and uncontrolled condensation.

Blowing room air up thru the donut will remove the heat from the lamp.

Finally, grow boxes and tents tend to limit airflow.

ok well im not making a box but i am you dig? it will be shelves in a square in a room which essentially is a box of green... im in a 8x8x7 room stealth is key as i hate thieves and i do not own my place this is why fresh air is out i keep the house cooler instead which keeps me where im at for temps now it will only go down from here as we are coming into winter 45-50 degrees at night... hits the teens outside in jan feb....in the summer i will have to back down to 1 1k lights or maybe just get 2 600s sounds better

Jiji i was planning to make the shelves like hinges and put in a 3/4 dowel on the front to hold shelf at angle then when i watered there would be spots for pegs to hold them straight while i watered then put them back at a tilt neat right!
