If you're using over 800 watts in CFL's you're wasting your electricity bill. Get a 600 watt digital ballast and an HPS bulb and you'll be able to get a decent harvest instead of those airy buds that CFL's give off. You'll save money on electricity and have lots more light since the lumen to watt ratio is way higher with HID's over CFL or incandescent.
You can add a couple small size fans. A 4" intake fan and a 4" exhaust that passively cools your light reflector is plenty of air for a 600w HPS light. Just saying, since a harvest takes about 3 months from clone > veg > flower > harvest > to dried bud, it's worth while to use the right gear and get a proper yield. 3 months is a lot of time to invest to get an ounce or two of ok buds when you could get around 16 ounces of high grade nugs if you just redesigned your setup. It's a small investment when you consider you can get 10x the harvest in comparison to using cfl's
i hear ya, but where am i supposed to have the intake and exhaust ducts go? im not about to cut a hole in my wall or have 20 foot ducts across the room to the window. seeing how i already owned all of my equipment, 3 months for $1000 worth of bud doesnt seem bad to me..
