20 Ton Rosin

I use a 4x7 mirror, shake and go around the mirror. As soon as it starts to look green and not blonde, I'm done. I'd rather waste product than contaminate it. Then if your greedy, do a very quick iso wash to get any last trichs off the plant matter. If there is any. You never know.

about 2lbs of untrimmed Candy Train buds being pressing into 1oz pucks for rosin squishing..

With that much material, are you wasting anything? Have you tried running half that and seeing if the returns are any better?

Yeah I cut a few pucks in 1/2 & got better returns. I'll be doing that from now on...

Was it big difference? Considerably more? Yeah, have heard there is a sweet spot in regards to amount vs return

I didn't measure it out but I could easily see the difference. I wasn't getting enough pressure with a full puck, it was spread too much. Much better squish with 1/2 puck.

Try doing a 1/4 brick and see if the results are any better.

here is one for you to try, get the puck just a little damp before you press, like, just have your hands wet when you handle it right before pressing, I put mine right into the freezer after pressing, i get way bigger yields, If I had a vac oven, i would run it in there. but haven't found a need just yet.

Why put a solventless extract in a vac chamber? There are no residuals or solvents to remove. Unless your trying to remove the moisture your getting by pressing wet/damp bud. Which is solved by not dampening your material in the 1st place.

like I said, i haven't had a need to vac any moisture out if I only use a very slight amount to help force the rosin out. It was just a thought, if you did have one, you could use it to cake up the rosin, which some people like.

Cake, as in buddering up like bho crumble of sorts? Most want shatter like in my area.

yeah, i prefer the shatter over the cake, but these kids in so cal like that cake look.

How long do you spin the dry ice mix...and,how much weight do you put in her?

I can fit in about 3lbs of trim or 2lbs of buds & 10lb dry ice. spin for 5-10min.

Just to update, I am squishing everything at 180-200deg
