2 weeks into gorwing Whats Wrong?

been growing for 2 weeks, what is wrong with the plants in the picture? i thought it could be the PH, so i switched out the tap water for bottled water. look at the pictures and help me out please... the strain is purple power but im not sure it has anything to do with the strain as much as it does a ph problem or a nute burn or light burn problem.....

Looks like a nutrient problem, I'm thinking magnesium.

What else are you adding to your water, and what is your ph if you think you have a ph problem.

Well if you notice the lower leaves (older) are burned or having some sort of issue. With plants there are macro nutrients and micro nutrients, most micro nutrients are immobile while the macro nutrients (NPK) are mobile. Plants tend to send their nutrients to the newer leaves if need be, but this is only possible with NPK. If you notice that the lower leaves are burned, this is because the plant is sending whatever nutrients it has to the higher (newer) leaves because it doesn't have enough for all. This means its probably one of the mobile nutrients (N-P-K) probably Phosphorus just by looking at some of the tables of Phosphorus deficiencies.

well i am using an aerogarden because i heard it was good to get some hands on experience with hydroponics.. and i was using tapwater but i decided to dump the water this morning and i replaced it with bottled water. Would this help if i had a ph problem? The reason i thought that it could have been nutrieint burn, is because i started out with 2 plants growing but one i fucked up, and i had already had two nutrient pills in the tank.

You should use water soluble nutrients designed specifically for hydroponics. Better control of nutrients although I have no experience with this "nutrient pill" you speak of.

Changing the tank with fresh water would help return the pH closer to neutral but the difference between bottled water and tap water is probably minuscule. Just leave tap water sitting in an open container for at least 24 hours prior to using to let the chlorine evaporate out. Anyway you don't have a pH problem from the looks of those pictures.

So u think it is a nutrien problem then? the aerogaren comes with these tablets not really a pill but u just throw them in the tank and they dissolve in the water...how do i correct the problem?

If the problem is phosphurus, then how do i help the plant get more phosphurus?

Go to your local garden store and tell them you are growing tomatoes. Tell them what setup you have and the symptoms of the plant. They will recommend fertilizer for you.

Or you could figure it out yourself. If it is a phosphorous deficiency, you would want a fertilizer that has a higher phosphorous percentage. This would probably be a blooming or flowering mix since plants need more phosphorous when they are flowering. If this works switch bank to a fert with a higher nitrogen percentage since the plant will grow much better with it.

dude this is great. im exactly 2 weeks in and i have the same problem...AND my plants are all getting stalk rot and wanting to fall over. two of them were goners so i had to get rid of em. i was so pissed and on top of that my leaves look the exact same as urs ad i was pissed aboot that too... i bought this stuff called Technaflora- Recipe for success. mixed the nutes in it told me too for the veg stage and this is what i get.....i need help too-lol- keep us posted on urs cause this is one article that matches me perfect

lol, i know, i definatley will, after dumping my old water, and switching to bottled water i also only added half of the nutrient tablet that goes into the tank and so far so good, no further damage and there are actually alot of new leaves coming out and they dont seem to be getting any damage, i am still going to switch to a bloom nute just to make sure my plant gets phosphurus since it seems to be what the problem is.

Your plants were getting WAY too much of something. Don't leave it to pre mixed "nute tabs" its actually very simple to do your own nutes, just follow the directions on the bottles. Its usually 1 Tsp per gallon or for fresh clones and seedlings 1/2 tsp per gallon, add a 1/4 tsp per gallon of SUPER THRIVE and your all set, seriously , its that easy for a good nute solution. I have recently discovered the wonderful world of nutes and man I wish I had made my own nute mixes on the last POS grow I had. Already seeing 1000x difference. From the 2 versions of the cannabible I have it looks like you had over fert. Common mistake is misdiagnosis thinking your not giving them enough then totally killing them with more. Just use plain water for a few days until you get your nute regime. Foxfarm or BC products are really simple to use and pretty effective just fyi.

are you using the nutes from aerogarden? if you are you only use half of a small tablet every week because the plant is still young then when it getts taller use a whole small tablet every week then when you decide on flowering use one large tablet every week use distilled water its better an use airstones for the roots to breath better

your plant is to young to be recieving any nutes. Tapwater is fine....your main problem is theres no aeration in your resevoir thats why your leaves look like its crusting from the inside out with brown spots....youll need more aeration in your resevoir by getting an airsone...or lower your water all the way the lowest it can be for the pump to be able to work that way theres less water to aerate when it goes through the system.
