2 sour diesels and 2 tga subcool dairyqueen

I recently got these 4 clones for $20, I think I got a good deal. Anyway so this is my 2nd attempt at a grow. I have 2 dairy queen and 2 sour diesel. I am using 8 23w 2700k and 1 19w 2700k cfl bulbs. I am growing in a cabinet that's about 3 ft tall by 2 1/2 long and 1 1/2 ft wide. I have a 80mm cpu fan as an intake and just a square about 2"x2" for exhaust. The temps are 70f w/o the lights and 80-82f when the lights are on. I am going straight to 12/12 due to limited space and I'm growing just for my own smoke so while I want a decent yield I really don't have too much space to veg. My first grow I vegged for a week and when I harvested my lights were at the top of the cabinet and only about 1 1/2 inches from the plant. Anyway here's a couple pics and welcome I will be updating pics every 2-3 days and will be using nutes along the way right now I'm thinking about alaska morbloom it's only $7 and I hear good things, or I'm going to try jack's classic bloom booster as I have read from a very smart person on r.i.u. that it's almost the same stuff as the big money nutes just an all in one type and very affordable. So I'm not trying to use my thread as a debate on how you think cfl's suck or what I should do that costs a thousand bucks but please feel free to comment on what you think and if you have any tips/ideas on how to improve in a low cost way feel free to share. thanks guys plus I'll be giving rep for sure so do the same if you like what you see......:leaf::leaf::leaf:

Looks great nice and clean ,i just got dairy queen im gonna pop em soon. Do you use any grow nutes or straight to flower nutes? Have you read the buds for less ? They show how to produce 8 oz off a cfl setup just like yours . Lovely grow you have. Did your first grow go how you planed(better or worse)? Do you have a intake hole (pvc pipe??)that might help the temps? I also seen a hole with a wire through it(maybe tape it or run pvc pipe to make a light proof intake?), light leaks will mess with your plants (yeild, hermies)
Looks like they can get closer to the lights. Slowly increase watts (42s are about 15$ each where i am catch them on sale )in buds for less they started with 6 42 watts and increased. What about some 2 foot floro tubes mounted vertically on wall?

Thanks a lot, I have started using nutes im using jack's classic bloom. According to a couple veterans of roll it up, It's top of the line nutes without the big price tag. I haven't read the buds for less book but I know what it is. I want to though. I do worry about light leaks I am trying to solve that this weekend as well as getting a good fan. The hole you said you seen with a wire in it thats where i have my 80mm cpu fan. I have it cocked sideways to blow on the plants better but your right it its creating a light leak. Do you think if I put the fan straight into the back wall and had it blowing straight, it would be better? It would still have a light leak because it's directly on the back wall of my cabinet and the fan is no solid so light gets in between the fan blades so how do I prevent that? also thats my air intake i guess and I have a hole cut into the top to use a an exhaust it's about 2"x2" anyway any tips on creating a better intake exhaust thats very simple/cheap would really help thats people

Light leaks are easy to solve. You just need some flat black construction paper. You make a box to fit around the fan, and leave one side open for air to flow. Then make another box to fit around that one, making sure to leave about an inch of space between the 2 boxes, and leave the opposite side of the big box open. The 2 open sides and the space in between the boxes create a path where air can flow, but light cannot reflect. Also a useful method for keeping light from escaping where stealth is concerned.

Edited because I explained poorly the first time.
Edited again because I failed the second time too! HAHAHA

Did TGA finally get more DQ seeds?!?!?

so can anyone help me with light leak ideas? I really need some advice as far as how to create a light proof cabinet at the same time being able to have enough air flow for the plants???? any idea's + rep for any feedback thanks

I use a cardboard box, cut a hole on each side one at each end attach the fan to one hole and connect the other to the cabinet. Air will go around corners...light not so much.

I know that explanation is lame....let me find a pic...

I haven't grown in TGA gear but i have some in the mail that will grown in a couple of months, i'll be following alongside your grow. I am also doing my first cfl grow this year i have always grown outdoors, and i have to admit i love growing with the cfl's. It's cheap and effective and very low cost is what drove me to it also.
Good luck man... I passed out to much rep last nite, but i will hit you up in 24 hours bro.

andsmokeit, what's up, good grow going. I am currently growing some Sour D, and have harvested 3 Sour D plants. My plants were very sensitive to nutes especially during flower (i just burnt the shit out of one of my girls you can see her in my albums if you want), my buddy who grows ALOT of Sour D says he gets a lot of yellowing during flowering as well. I'm not sure but I think most if not all Sativas are pretty fragile. Another thing, wait til she is done. It's a long flower cycle 70-75 days sometimes longer. be patient!!!
I started a thread recently that has some sour d clones, check it out if you want https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/458572-my-girls-bagseed-sour-diesel.html
I'm subb'd for this thread so keep posting your updates. stay high

wow cool man thanks for the info. I did see some yellow tips on a couple of the leafs and was tripping because I used like 1/4th of what the label said so I guess now i know why hahaha. Well in that case I'm going to back off and put even less. But they have really seemed to react well to the jack's classic bloom I been giving her, seems like after every feeding the next morning they always appear so much better looking with more growth. I can't post any pics today because I'm growing at a friends house and she's a mmj patient anyway Im down to 2 sour d's and 1 dairy, because I took one to a diffrent spot to use as a mother and I am glad because the 5 cuttings I took about a week ago seem to really be loving life. Alot of people say to leave the lights on 24/7 with the cuttings but i have noticed they seem to like a few hours of darkness. What do you guys think? well I'm going to water them again either this evening or tomorrow and when I do I'll post new pics. I'm glad you guys are along for the ride. roll it up, ANDSMOKEIT

You might be fine on the amount of nutes that your using, just watch how often, I'm doing a water, water, nute, molasses regiment. so they are only getting nutes every 3rd water. As far as clones/veg goes, I've got mine under 24/7. i was thinking about changing to 20/4 I'm thinking rest is good for them, but can't say for sure.
If I can help with anything I will, but I'm still a newb. stay high.

ok guys, well feed my lady friends this morning, they are looking pretty healthy, the dairy queen seems a little behind in the development of her buds. The tall one is the dairy queen. They are starting to have a little funk but so far it been too out of control. The problem with over feeding I think has been solved, I have been feeding with ever watering and that's every 3 days. I am really liking the jack's classic bloom and for $7 how can you go wrong huh? I am a newbie but can tell when I found a good product. I wish I would have used one of the sour diesel's for a mother maybe instead of the dairy queen because I'm hearing so many good things about them. Anyways guys let me know that you think I'll keep posting and keep these babies growing. roll it up, ANDSMOKEIT
